Ah, yes, the "Too many Juggies" thread. We have dismissed that claim.

Funny thing is, there are plenty out there who don't even know how to play this guy.
Playing him is easy, playing him good is a whole diffrent story on the other hand.....

I wish more would use Squad Command so there was a reason to not run the hell away from them.

I don't use squad command simply because it isn't worth it in a PUG unless you are speccing a full melee Jug. Theres no bonus attributed to me, and unless we are huddled in a hack circle, it wont benefit most PUGs because no one will huddle up near me for the entire match.

I use HM purely for shield regen and pesky critters like a Geth Bomber or a Nemesis so them bastages will stop dodging. Other than that, my Juggy doesn't stop moving until the match is over.

Does it make it any better if I told you that so far, I'm the only Jugg I've seen, that aggressively charges enemy spawns like a "big, goddamn hero"(read it in Zaeed's voice).

Out of curiosity, are they still there/alive when you arrive?

N7NJA982 wrote...

Umm....OP, what kind of lobbies do you go into?

PUGs, as stated. It's good to go out my comfort zone from time to time and see what random people are up to.

Your just still upset from that Condor platinum game when I outscored your TGI with an Avenger. :)
Back on topic they aren't bad if you don't focus on melee targets only builds. Had a squad of Geth Juggernauts on Platinum took us 27 minutes to complete the match.

Absolutely. Hadn't I been so busy rezing you and hadn't you been so busy eating up all 3 grenades and ammo that hellish map gives things would've turned out different.:?

Tonight. Your Avenger versus mine. I'll see you there.

for OP, not all juggy are slow just like Not everybody use Geth Infiltrator well

don't judge too quick

I. Don't. Judge. Quick.

When teaming up with 2 friends chances are we won't get a random jugg, but open a new lobby or search for one with all 3 randoms and you'll see.

Just for y'all to know, I don't have a problem with well played juggys, but so far I've only seen one. One. The rest are always busy choking everything to death, though I have the theory they really die of a boredom strike or something

Um...what if I'm actually good as a juggy? I kill a lot of stuff and always help with the objectives. I mean seriously....not all of us juggy players suck you know >.<

I actually don't mind seeing Juggernauts in PUGs. I mean, after all the whining BSN does as a whole, who here actually expects a PUG to be good? They're decoys, plain and simple. As Juggernauts, they're a lot better at the one thing I expect them to be good at.

I played with enough Juggs in PUGs to the point where I'm just happy that they can stay alive.

Also saw two terrible melee jugs in a gold pug. I got a very nice message from the non-jugg who said they were sorry that I had to do so much carrying, lol. Was really nice of him, and unnecessary, I was rocking the cabal.

If a pug plays a juggy, it's fine if they'll shoot occasionaly and tank effectively (not just heavy melee only and die all the time once you get into the later waves).

I think people see the high numbers in the health/shield categories and assume that they're invulnerable, unfortunately they do not realize that it's not going to compensate for poor tactics.

The lesson here is that the jugg does not make a player gold/platinum viable, nor a valuable asset to the team. And it is not the way to learn how to play gold+ either.

EDIT: But to the OP/anyone tired of it, you can either offer some advice on how to jugg better, or nicely explain that more than one juggernaut actually makes the games more difficult/take longer (lack of DPS & slower objectives).

Trying to find a good Jug player is like trying to get a damned spitfire from the store. Practically non-existent.

i think i just got upset because

A) they didn't help with objectives.... they just kept melee-ing

B) i went down.... once.... right next to one... and he just kept melee-ing

C) i had been attempting my speedruns and it put me in a sour mood when i got grabbed with the final package, wave 10, at 20 minutes....

they are what they are.
I don't really pay attention to them.
It's no worse than seeing Reegar SGs in almost every PUG also.

Juggs are one of my favorite classes to play with, if they are competent. But only if there is 1 really, multiple can draw a game out.

I play Jugg from time to time; great after a tough day, as throttling phantoms never gets old. On the PC I rarely see Juggernauts.

I have only teamed up with another on a couple of occasions. My observation is that the players don't think tactically and have a poor layout for gear. I found it strange that a Jugg fighting alongside me goes down and needs reviving by me, when we're both in the same scrap.

As a Jugg I always aim to complete missions, even if I can't get there first. I never assume that others won't need your tanky firepower. I will stand away from a hack or escort if it frees space for the team to get through of course; accepting that I may have to gel because I'm on my own.

I arm the Jugg with PPR and Reegar with AP ammo. Seldom shield, never pulse and always use weapon damage and melee as I figure is appropriate. If you keep moving and read the map, it's amazing how many team mates you revive on the way round. On Gold they sometimes are so happy to see you that they won't go away again!

I will also accept failing to extract by fighting outside the extraction zone if it makes life easier for the team. With the platform gone, they will download his software into a new platform anyway (and I have consumables to burn).

While tanky and, for me, the ultimate team character, I will fail on Gold without a decent team. But I can help make a poor team decent. Game length similar to other games unless they leave me to slowly solo later waves (either that or the game gets really short, really suddenly).

He's fun to play for a change, and I've never had any complaints. Though I did pop into silver one evening for a quick pillage, and one guy moved to kick me. But it went nowhere...

Just in case no one else mentioned it, it takes a special kind of narcissism to sign into someone else's lobby and then complain about the kit they choose to play.

A vague green line isn't going to keep anyone near you, much the same as the Demolisher's blue line doesn't either.
