Alright :) I'll add you when I get home. And I figured you probably didn't, but the more I read it I thought that it MIGHT be possible to see some aggression in it. So I thought I should just specify that. I usually do gold, and as far as map goes idc. Whatever you want. That alright?

I believe 20 minute PuGs, it's 20 minute pubes that I'm skeptical about.

Not all Juggs are bad.  I just finished this game and thought I would share it to counter all the negativity towards Juggs.  If this had been U/U/G, the score would have been just under 200K.

I know they're not all bad, I forced myself to play as one last night for the first time and it was a good game, but still I hated the crappy mobility. Didn't top the board as intended, but I think it was a decent first try for my Puggernaut considering my friends are so good everything was dead before I could get there.

Image IPB

I'm just against bad played ones (90% of them) and their thinking they're gold worthy just because they can "keep themselves alive" by choking all the things all the time.

As for those asking for the "pubic lobbies" it was an honest mistake, a typo I noticed as soon as I hit submit but I'm happy with. So so it will remain.

Lots of people seem to think they are ready for gold/platinum with their perfect character, it's not only with the juggie.  Collectors Gold on Firebase Glacier hazard for inexperienced players = nightmare.  Yet, it happens.  With just about any kit.

I don't think new players truly realize how gold&platinum scale from silver.  There's a lot of traffic on the map!
But so many people are saying it's easy, how they can do it with eyes closed and level 1 character, that people get the wrong ideas, sometimes.

This x100. When I first started all my friends told me that gold was super easy and that it was no big deal. I tried it and got completely massacred. What can you learn from this? Never trust your friends...they lie to you!!

I'm on PC and I play my Juggernaut in Gold PUGs quite often, especially when I am not sure the other players are any good. I never play him when there's one in the lobby already, one is enough for every match.

http://narida.pytalh...gernautShield5/

This is my standard setup (or Adrenalin III instead, for larger maps), I play purely as a tank. If I wanted dps, I'd use another kit.

I always help with objectives, I always try and protect my teammates and I tank every boss that comes close. I'm mainly using my turret to restore shields for my teammates, which is more reliable than the hex shield and it doesn't block line of sight.
I'm using the Falcon on range to stagger groups of enemies until I'm close enough to use the Reegar. I never stop moving except when I tank. I only use heavy melee to restore my shields and use the Reegar as often as possible. Light melee is an excellent knockback and good enough to get rid of husks, swarmers and stuff like that.

In some games I topped the scoreboard, sometimes by a large margin. Of course, the other 3 players weren't any good then. My Juggernaut isn't meant to do a lot of damage, he exists to enable the rest of the team to do so. Still, I can easily take out a Ravager while walking past, so my damage is quite okay even without most dmg passives.

One part of the "many bad Juggernauts" problem is the rest of the team.
Yes, it's easy to headshot anything I grab and if you need someone to hold the target up for you so you won't miss... fine. I don't care about the points anyway... but you better stop taking away my melee target if I need to restore my shields because I'm a. tanking multiple bosses for you and/or b. taking heavy fire from some ranged enemies which you should prioritize over the helpless (and soon dead) enemy in my grasp.
If I can't restore my shields, I can't tank. If I can't tank, the enemies will overrun me and I will die. And if I die... who's going to save you?

Unless someone sabotages me I almost never die... and I rarely need to use consumables (except for missiles). Of course I don't hesitate to use them if necessary... but you need ~10k damage to take me down even without me using heavy melee, so ... ^^

I almost never use Siege Pulse, I keep it active for the 40% DR. I always place my turret for the team and use the Hex Shield maybe once or twice during the match to cover someone at an objective.
I position myself and the mobs to give everyone line of sight at the enemies while trying not to expose myself to too many enemies.
I stagger or grab any enemy that gets too close to the team, in some cases I even use the Hex Shield to stun an unshielded enemy... in short, I do everything in my power to keep the team alive.

Sure, I will never sprint around the map and nuke spawns into oblivion. But when the entire map comes running up to the team, then I will hold the line.

To me, the Jugg is for people who need crutches to play the game, esp any type of solo. The highest base shield in the game, immunity to sync kills, shields regen, 40% DR. Sure he's good for tanking, but that's all he's good for.

It seems the immunity to sync kills is the deal breaker for a lot of people, clearly scrubs don't know how to stand on stairs.

I agree that the way a lot of people play him he is definately a crutch. But I've seen some people that blew my freaking mind with how good they were as him. Always blocking off paths so that we wouldn't get swarmed, dropping turret to recover our shields when we needed it etc. If you play him right(and don't shield drain everything....really guys....please just stop) then he can be a huge asset.

Well, he's a tank kit, so I play him as a tank. I've got a dozen dps kits already and after a while that gets boring.
You don't have to like playing as or with Juggernauts but the kit has the right to exist and being used as all the others, too.

Personal dislike should never be a reason to say or do anything that affects others.

Biggest misconception there is. Played wrong, and you'll die as fast as anything else. You have to absorb everything tossed at you and you still get stunned.

Played correctly however, it is a huge asset to the team.

Rebuttal:

1. When I do gold matches with the Juggernaut they average 24 minutes. Are you saying they'd be <19 minutes if I didn't roll a Juggy?

2. If a teammate is so far out of position that I can't get to them before they bleed out, then they had it coming IMO.

3. Um... Isn't that a good thing?

4. Try shooting at the guys sneaking up behind you.

5. Supposition. Also, scrubs have been jumping blind into gold difficulty since the game was first released.

Yeah, if someone can play him as a proper support role, it's quite helpful I'll admit, a few of my friends use the big hex shield to break up LOS for objectives.

Just me personally, not a fan of support, prefer something with more mobility and a higher DPS output.

I know, seriously! I don't know why people think that he's so easy to play as. I mean, yes he has more shields then everyone else and can't be sync-killed but he's a HUGE freaking target. He has all that for a reason.  If you don't know what you're doing you're still gonna die, it just might take a little longer. You still need skill to make him a asset to the team.

I play my Jugg offensively with my Spitfire X and assault rifle amps and either armor piercing with damage increase V, warp or incendiary rounds with the high velosity barrell V and a cyclonic modulator 3 or 4 for extra padding...

Crowd control because Siege Pulse even can knock down shielded enemies. Keeping your shields up with the turret.
Keep enemies like Banshees and Phantoms occupied what no other class can....

A biased thread.

I play GJ almost exclusively these days in Silver and I tend to score high relative to at least 2 of my team mates. I use up all my medi-gel and missiles when they wipe (quite often for one particular week when I played almost everyday). I would turn around and say that other non-GJ are too stingy to use their savings to save the day (for what? when the game might not last for long based on rumours and their consumables can't be turned into real life cash).

But I also played the Volus in Bronze and again I have to say that I'm quite efficient and manage to save the wave a few times. There are good and bad players behind each character - the difference is that GJ seem to be the towering target here.

Juggys can win you a tight game if the team supports them. Bosses almost always converge on the Juggy and I'm usually on hand with my flamer or smash-dept to crush 'em.

I imagine the combo will be even deadlier if there's a Warlord rolling with the Juggy but I suspect the Warlord has an equal Boss-attraction rate as the Juggy?

a) deal with it or create a private match
B) dont run like a retard to the other side of the map!
c) the game throws up to 2 at a time, just focus on the second one and dont be a ******.
d) all characters are faster than the juggie, how about if you learn to attack from the sides?
e) really? I've seen awful juggies who die like fleas even in silver.
