In the principle a "tank" is a mobile, armoured platform for a cannon, even if it's not fast/reactive. It's not because you're dps-ing that you can't tank or is that Reegar of yours, highest dps weapon in the game by a wide margin, just for show?

I'll also add that a juggy in a plat game is not doing his job of protection if only heavy melee-ing: he'll get swarmed and his shield regen outdone eventually. Surviving on plat implies dps.

I did enter a gold game in progress with 3 juggers. I was on my human soldier with a Valkyrie X. Vs Reapers. Even though I started in last place I ended up in first, unsurprisingly. Still, we all extracted. GJ aren't really bad, played competently.

True. And it is a fact that surviving and fighting the entire time is beneficial to your dps, too. Unlike the guy in the recent Juggernaut guide video I prefer to spec into the durability skills of the kit because you can't dodge, don't get to use hard cover and can't even run away and kite properly. In the end you can't avoid being hit a lot. And even with full damage passives, you won't be able to kill everything before it kills you. 

I did two platinum games with my Juggernaut and they went quite well, despite the lack of communication (russian Warlords ^^). One full extraction and one I missed by a second because I kept 2 Banshees and a Brute away from the LZ.

I think the general dislike for Juggernauts stems from the fact that you can't do speedruns with them, which is a very elitist point of view. It doesn't matter for PUGs at all.

I imagine the combo will be even deadlier if there's a Warlord rolling with the Juggy but I suspect the Warlord has an equal Boss-attraction rate as the Juggy?

I don't care for Krolords, but they are a lot of fun to play with in a Jug. They can tech burst anything that walks through the hex shield with evo 5a running. Even better when I run incendiary ammo. Hammer, explosion, boom booms.

Have to rant here. Got dropped into a gold match in progress last night. I was a jug with spitfire, using megabeast37215 type build ( shotgun, big shield, spitfire as backup ) but one of the other players was using the jug with spitfire - he was really effective, topped the scoreboard by quite a lot. Checked his N7HQ after the game - a great build 66666. I hate cheating MF.

yeah, kinda takes the decisions away from you.  Nice to have maxed turret and maxed shield.  I reported him, not that it will do any good.   He had a maxed manifest with 19 mil credits probably *cough* missile glitcher *cough*.

This kit is becoming a worse plague than destroyers were in there hayday. Haven't had a gold or plat match in the last 4 days without 1 of these in the lobby. Half the time there's 2 of the stupid things. All they do is melee everything and score their pathetic 40-50k. I may need to go on another extended break from ME3 since pugs are just so stupid anymore.

i used to support Juggernauts in gold and above.
but it seems that there's no subtitute for a decent grasp of how the game works.
not even an insane amount of shields.

I do see them a lot, especially on Gold.  On one hand, I like them because they almost always make the match a lot easier.  On the other hand, they also usually make the match 3-5 minutes longer.  

I will say this though - I'd rather play a game with a noob who doesn't equip consumables and has no business on Gold if they're playing a Juggernaut than if they are playing any other class.  They are more valuable if they are attracting aggro than if they are in Spectator Mode.

I see that way too often and I do go.  May as well solo and not share the credits.  All this juggy is doing is enabling unskilled players to leach.  Its not teaching them how to play so when they do unlock that harrier or whatever gun they want so bad they wont know how to survive long enough to use it anyway.

I can honestly say, I've never scored 50K using a Jug. hate the player, not the kit.

I can also say, Ive been in 19 minute PUGs in my Jug. Ive been in 20 minute PUGs with 4 of em.

I hate the kit, but not because of how other people play it - I just can't stand moving so slowly.  I have only tried the Jugg once (in a Silver game), and I topped the scoreboard by quite a bit.  But it was the most boring scoreboard topping ever.  I'm fine if other people want to use the Jugg though, and I actually really like playing with someone else who is using a Jugg and knows how to use it.

The other half is its DPS is crap.
If a Jugg is standing around just constantly heavy meleeing, his DPS is going to be crap. Not even to mention how it makes players think they can tank any and all damage. 
They're slow, offer absolutely nothing to a team and waste everyone's time.
I'd rather have a Volus Sentinel on my team rather than a Juggernaut. At least they have Shield Boost and Combat Drone/Decoy does lure away mooks.
