I seriously just can't trust the guy. I mean, the way you meet him is bizarre, then EVERYTHING he does is buried under a thick veneer of overdone innuendo. He just strikes me as disingenuous.

His banter mid/at the end of combat is a pain in the ass.

No pun intended, right?

I'm a male who happens to be homosexual but I really don't like Zevran like that at all. He's cool as a friend but I've never done the dirty with him, he's waaaay too sleezy. I'm old fashioned :P

And really guys, it's okay to say you "like" someone who happens to like men, it doesn't make you gay I promise...

Some of the best banter I thought was between zev and ogrhen.

Zev "you drunk again ogrhen?"
Og  "you sound like my mother. Drunk again ogrhen"

Then something about og peeing on the dinner table and zev asking if he wanted a piggy back ride. Ending with og "I am keeping an eye on your pants elf"

Something like that.

In real life I would leave him bleeding to death in a gutter... in game I keep alive only to produce poisons... nope he is a cheap lowlife with a sleazy accent.

He is too fragile. Plus I don't like his banter.

I find his banter pretty funny. He's also a pretty handy party member for inflicting damage, in particular once you get coup-de-grace and your mages have good CC.

I like the Zevman, the meeting is a bit awkward, would you really trust him around your camp unchained at the start? But still, I like the guy, alot more fun and morally ambiguous (as in got none, so he doesn't care what he does!) than some of the other characters that are intended to be morally dubious.

I like both Zevran and the gay relationship. Nice that Bioware are progressive enough to include it. Now that they've taken one step in the right direction, perhaps I should start hoping for a game without a capitalist economical system. That would really surprise people you know... *hint hint*

Depends on how much faith and trust you have in your companions abilities.

I never really use the guy eve, so I have not seen a lot of banter, and most everything is based upon dialogue in camp. In the beginning I didn't like him much, his personality anyway, to sleazy, serious enough to understand a situation but not enough to take it seriously, etc.

However, once talking to him a bit, and getting him up to 100friend status, I found underneath this sleazy Antivan to be a deeply emotional person, and that endeared me to him a lot more.

So I can say now, that yes, I do like Zevran, although still not one of my favorites.

I do. Unfortunately I haven't played a male character long enough to see how the male romance plays out yet. Does he set up the male romance the same way he does with the female. Going from booty call to saran wrap as soon as you put out?

Sure he is alright. He has some funny things to say and his accent makes him sound smooth and so forth.

I like Zev both as a friend and as a boyfriend. I´m hetero, but a RPG is about, well, roleplaying. So I´ll seduce him :-p

I prefer playing as female, though, but he´s bi, fortunately.

Not really a case of trust in your companions, but simply that he is an assassin that was hired to kill you, the logical conclusion would be that he is merely trying to get you to put your guard down, doesn't matter how good your friends are if you give a guy a sword and he immediately stabs you with it.  Still, I understand why they couldn't put more detail in it so it's not really a big deal. :D

He's a cool cat, but I dont roll that way, so I had to give him a friendly wink that I'm not was he was looking for.

Whether I like him or not is a little immaterial, since I roleplay whether my character in the game is liking him. However, he's been along for all of my third game so I've had a lot more interaction with him than previous games and I have to say that I'm rather neutral about him. He seems to pay more attention to Wynne anyway.
