Were you guys seriously expecting a Mass Effect Trilogy 2.0 out of the Montreal studio? Come on! They were never about to make anything other than a straight-up shooter. I called it months ago.

I'd just like to point out that the original post of this rumor (look in the comments under Sachel) was on November 14. This was 6 days after Casey Hudson sent out a tweet asking what people wanted to see in the game. I highly doubt that they would go from asking fans for ideas to a final concept in less than a week.

In addition, the whole idea is pretty ridiculous when you think about it. Can you imagine playing a Vanguard in first person?

If it's not true, it would still be a good plot for the film.

 That   line in bold has so much fail that   I would not even  look at the game ..... the fact that it  is a prequal   dosnt help its case

If this is true, a trusted friend would have to tell me that it was "amazing" before I'd even consider buying it. That ending was too awful for me to trust bioware with this franchise. Especially with something as lazy as a prequel.

Prequels to me only mess around in a universe's past to the point it starts to look messy.

Prefer this series to move forward not backward.

Also making it a FPS will upset the fan base I imagine.

Oh yes!!!! I would love a FPS mass effect. No exploration, no dialouge wheel, no downer RPG elements just a straight up Haloesque shooter. Yeah!!! They were close with ME3- they almost got it right with zero sidequests, 1 hub world, zero exploration and chop down dialogue but they still had some RPG elements, which I put up with cause the shooting and story we're awesome. The same studio the brought us Omega DLC- easily the best DLC of the series IMO, I can't wait. Day 1 buy for me.

I effing hate prequels. Talk about instantly sapping all of the suspense. If you already know what's gonna happen then you're jut going through the motions and I'm not paying $60-$90 for that

LOL this is the perfect way to finish the franchise off for good. Not interested in prequels or fps. Im tired of fps, even bio shock infinite having a good story but fps have just made me tired. Oh well if they go this route at least I save myself some money.

EA does such a great job with shooters to- just checkout BF3's launch and premium service. I'd say they hit a home-run there!!! Mass effect FPS would be amazing.

Can you guys imagine Biotic Charge from a FPS view? I think would make me sick. I don't see how many of the Biotic/Tech would work in a FPS view.

Bioshock infinite has a biotic charge type of vigor. It's actually pretty cool. Albeit useless on highe difficulties but it's pretty cool. Watch. Mild spoilers.
