I was just wondering as I play through another Human Noble why Flemith would bother saving my Dog along with me and Alistair.  I get why she saved the last two Gray Wardens but picking my dog out of the fray too seems so unlike her.  I mean she left the poor Circle Mage to his fate.  I also get that for the story we need to keep Dog along but still seems odd to me.

Dog is a very attractive member of the species.

Well, if you've ever had Dog rescue you from Fort Drakon, you would know that Dog is very persuasive.

Dog probably ran away and the darkspawn left him alone.



But if Flemeth did save dog, I bet Flemeth (and Morrigan) have more of a soft spot for animals than humans. They are shapeshifters.



And Morrigan has some nice moments with Dog... the only other member she shows a soft spot to besides the PC.

Those were nice moments? She berated the poor animal! Sten was the only NPC to show dog respect & I guess in his mind love.

She pretended to not like it, but we all know she did. And you know how morrigan is with things she is affectionate toward.

I don't remember having Dog with me when fighting in the tower at Ostagar as a Human Noble; besides, if you play the other origins, you don't get him until somewhere between Flemeth's Hut and Lothering, if you speak to the Kennel Master before the battle.

They weren't Wardens, and she wanted Wardens. Dog is just special.

Walter did not need saving from the darkspawn, it's the other way around.

And Circle Mage and Soldier do not count.

You should pay more attention to the party banter between Morrigan and dog. She always starts annoyed but she always gives in in the end.

Dog is definitely maxed out on coercion.

You know, Mabari are supposed to be preternaturally intelligent.  Maybe ALL Mabari are really shapeshifters in disguise, and one day, they're overthrow Ferelden!  Its all part of their devious plot to rule the world!
