I just assumed dog wandered about and found them after all was said and done. It's not like it doesn't already happen ( meeting the dog on the road) in some origins when you are already outside of Ostagar Highly intelligent animals don't need saving, they need supper.

I don't think Morrigan's sister would know enough about your dog to mimic it's personality. It may have been possible if you had just acquired the dog. But presumably the Human Noble has owned it for a while.



Witches sometimes have cats. It would have been easier to give Morrigan a creepy pet cat. Then a late game revelation is the cat is Morrigan's sister keeping an eye on her.
