To address the hostility against the group. I don't think being choosy or selective is automatically a d-bag thing. It is similar to getting mad that, as a male, you cannot join an all-women's group and calling them all a bunch of feminists.

Slimjim's comment about public image is correct though, I know I've join in on quite the number of trolling moments (some that went to far as well).

It is not like the group discriminates, it allows anyone the chance and it's optional. If you do not care to join or are opposed to the ideals of such a group, that's fine. Many fantastic players are not part of the group. S.P.E.C.T.R.E. never claims to hold the only good players, just some of the best.

The only conclusions I can come to for why people would be so anti-spectre would be if they had a bad experience with one (similar to what slimjim mentioned) or due to creative differences.

You've never played a game with me & have no idea what kind of player I am.  Does it make you feel better calling me a scrub?  For the record, I'd have several hundred more hours than you in this game if it weren't for BL2 and AC3 coming out last year, which put a 5 month dent in my weekend challenge completion in ME3.

And I don't have to assume anything, your behavior tells me all I need to know.

Funny thing is, any thread with SPECTRE in its name summons the army of haters/spammers/morons.

I believe what we did is a nice little step towards somewhat uniting the best console and PC players.

I'm gonna stay true to the P.U.G.-Life, it chose me 'cuz I'm a scrub, but good luck to everyone going on a try out.
Would be cool if the merger actually rekindles the interest in this game and helps keeping it alive.
I mean, I wanna play this game at least until ME 4 comes out, so the more active the community, the better the chances. SPECTRE them up guys!

Yes but after seeing stikman and saints comments to a few people I realized I would pass so I posted to point out that they were contradicting themselves.  Other members like megabeast  werent being so rude to others about the rules.

I think you need to understand that when stikman uses the word "scrub" he's only being half serious most of the time.

Yes, well, I am only a douche on the forums, in real life and on the Xbox I am a really nice guy actually 

And yes, I am basically done with this game and I still have no interest in joining this group. But I tried to play some unknown/unknown/platinum a few days ago with Salmon and some randoms and managed to outscore Salmon with 120k in my last game for the night, so I guess I still got it even though I'm rusty. And I still had a few rockets left in that one 

Salmon would be a good addition to the group though, no need for tryouts there and he still plays this game a lot! Send him a message why don't you
