Is there some things that other members say that irratate me? Sure, but it's beyond stupid some of the misinformed criticism that the group receives. Maybe bully was the wrong word, tough guy mob mentality maybe. Only with that, some would embrace it more openly as a good thing.

I actually think the group is a good idea, and like I said, I enjoy the videos. I have no issue with the group, it is the way some of the members act, putting people down for entertainment. One starts the attack, then the other join in to laugh at his jokes and make him feel good. I have seen thread after thread derailed by "spectre" members who laugh at each others jokes, and reassure each other they are hilarious.

With such high standards to get in and be visable on the forum, you should also require a bit of class.

biggs threw out all the trash, and most of the others showed themselves out before he could. There are a lot of misconceptions about the group, and those of you that continue to disparage it couldn't be more wrong. The ones who act like DBs on BSN are actually the exact opposite in party/game.

Then why act like that on the forums?  If you're looking for new players to join your private gaming community, why not just ask if someone wants to play some matches and if you think they are "best of the best", then invite them into your gaming group via PM?  If they don't meet your standards, just say "thanks for the games" and move on.  It just smacks of elitism to make a post looking for people to join, while also saying "oh, btw, you have to pass our tests before you can even be considered to be invited to our self proclaimed best of the best club."  That was the biggest problem I had from the start.  You want to find new blood to play with, fine.  But why not go about it without sounding like an epeen measuring contest?

The officers aren't going to search for individual players and ask them to try out. If someone wants in, they'll ask. The post is here to raise awareness for the group. If one of the members happen to come across a good player not part/aware of the group, they can nominate them for the group.

Also, how is it any different to say "thanks for the games" and move on as opposed to saying if you don't meet these requirements you can't join? Either way, you're holding that person to a standard. You can't just let anybody into the group if you want it to represent some of the best players (although I know quite a few players who are on par/better than some of the members, myself included, that aren't a part for whatever reason). There has to be some sort of standard in place whether you agree with it or not.

As for the DB part, apparently a lot of people missed this post by Stik:

Stik is easily one of the most laid back players I've ever played with. His responses are a direct result of the people that fall under C. I can't speak for any other member that comes off as abrasive, but that's their business.

I would have laughed this off before, but considering some of our current members are some of the same people who constantly whined about the group on the multiplayer forum it's questionable.

I know of at least 2 people who fall under this category, but I'm not sure constantly whining about the group would be the right word to describe them. One of them I know had bad experiences with members of the group, and it didn't help that this was during the days of every thread starting with "Spectre X Presents:" and a lot of it coming off as douchey. He decided to join after he played with some members and realized they weren't all that bad, and some were the exact opposite of how they portray themselves on BSN.

I just know that the best in that group, ie Topographer, was, and is, super nice, and one of the best friends to have in this game or any other. Talk about no attitude, helpful and an all around good team player! I don't know about many of the others since I've been gone from MP so damn long, but if even 25% are like Topographer, it'd be a fun group. If people don't like what one group member is like, just unfriend, block and mute the player or leave the Lobby when the player enters. It's really that simple.

I just find it highly amusing when people will complain about a group at any given opportunity on various occasions, and then join that same group when presented a choice. Regardless of the actual reason behind joining, it's damn hilarious any way you look at it.

Just think of the peoples "game" (whether sports or video game) that go down as the best ever, it usually includes talent AND class. Players like Payton Manning, Marcus Allen, Walter Payton and so on.

Then there is the TO's and Ocho Cinco's, while very talented are a cancer to the team because their "image" is more important than the group.

Some of you in the first group really need to look at the ones in the second group and bounce them out, or teach them some class. Which means treating everyone with respect, not just a select few.

Something along the line of, you need to be careful who you let in because if a "spectre" goes into a public game, he/she will be held to a certain standard, so they do not reflect badly on the rest of the group.

You should have the same standards on the forum.

I said that too and pretty much got tossed out the airlock so I don't think a few of them care.  It does reflect poorly on the group when you abuse people on the forum a point which biggs seems to think doesn't matter.

They have every right to do so as well as having requirements... And how they act in the forums doesn't reflect how they are in real life..  It's fantasy! A lot of gullible BSNers round here yo.

Too bad they don't like beer though.
