Eh if he joined mid-game I understand. I also search without consumables equipped, will only equip once in lobby.

Just what do you do with all those level 1 n 2?   Assuming you are stock piling 3 n 4 for use in Platinum at sometime in the future.

I was being tongue in cheek, All I play is Platinum and Gold 99% of the time.

Yeah, I hate joining a mid-game when I don't have any consumables (only with gold and platinum though). I think you should put on some consumables when playing gold/platinum at least level 1's. This is assuming you are put into a lobby first.

ya can always put on lower level stuff before you enter and then upgrade in the lobby. I'm still at the point where I have more equips than I know what to do w/, so I dun really care too much.

though from my experience, if you get dropped into a match and leave before trying to harm an enemy (or early enough) ya can get ur equips refunded or keep them on (at least that tends to happen to me- I notice the equips I used may have been de-equiped but not subtracted from the inventory).

Boggles my mind why players do not respect the team enough to use equipment, then again if nothing is put on they have nothing to loose and generally get carried anyhow.

No, because it's impossible to run out of them even if you use them every single game you play until the end of time. Hoarding is a mental illness.

It doesn't mean that I agree with not using consumables, but you CAN run out.

It all depends on what you buy I guess. If you're someone who buys packs like jumbo equip or spectre then you're going to have plenty of consumables. Honestly, I think using consumables is fine. I only really use them if I want to really wreck havoc. Another reason I rarely use them is because every time I do the game either puts in me a PUG mid-game with bad players or I d/c in the middle of a game. Happens almost every single damn time.

I dont put on consumables until i am in a lobby. if i join a game mid progress, i usually just quit it. Only once have i stayed, and actually it was fine, i only needed to use one medigel and one ops pack, and died one other time but was revived.

I usually leave lobbies where no one is putting on equipment because it tends to mean they wont use gel or rockets either

If you don't use consumables, I tend to kick, even on gold. To me it shows that you are committed to winning the game. I'd pick an n7 100+with consumables on over an n71000+ with no consumables on, even if I have to carry.

Using a Human Vanguard and a Scorpion, no consumables. It's the first (technically second) Platinum game I've played, the very first Platinum game being full of missile glitchers. Of course the two Juggernauts and Krosetinel probably helped with getting to extraction, but still. I feel good about finishing a plat game.

On the other hand, for your next game consider this:

No consumable on gold = add extra 5 min until extraction
No consumable on platinum = add extra 10 min until extraction - this is if your team manage to survive until extraction.

So your choice and/or the other player's that didn't kick you choice.

You can try my way:
I always put on some consumable before...
even if I land in Rio mid game, I am prepared.

I hate to wait until other are ready so I am always ready.
I almost never get kicked.
I also have a N7 20 separate account, I put some gear and didn't got kicked.
