Sith reaver sentinel

Character Description: Powerful, pragmatic warriors, sith will always look for a way to help themselves first and foremost. Though they have a great many eccentricities, and many would be classified by xenopsychologists as "Utterly Insane" the majority of them are at least  smart enough to realize that a galaxy-wide extinction would be bad for them.

Utter terrors on the battlefield, Sith Reavers use the force (Something that the best salarian scientists claim "Should not be possible by the laws of physics as we know them") to terrifying effect, crushing any resistance mounted against them with lightning, mental mind powers and an archaic, yet effective weapon known as a 'Lightsaber'. 

Melee is performed much like that of the N7 shadow or slayer, only with a lightsaber instead.

Powers:

Power 1: Force Lightning: Channel the force to fire lightning from your fingertips, electrocuting enemies in front of you, priming them for tech bursts. (Mechanically, imagine flamer, with a larger range and radius, and with lightning coming from your fingers.)
Rank 1: Unlock
Rank 2: Increase recharge speed by 25%
Rank 3: Increase damage by 15%
Rank 4a: Increase damage by 10%
Rank 4b: Increase range by 15%
Rank 5a: Increase damage from tech bursts by 15%
Rank 5b: Increase radius 15%
Rank 6a: Arc: If multiple enemies are caught in the lightning cone, the lightning will arc between them, increasing damage
Rank 6b: Shock and awe: Decrease movement speed of targets caught in the lightning by 75% 

Power 2: Force choke: Using the force: Levitate and choke a target, immobilizing them and dealing damage over time. (Think a mix of the best bits of stasis and submission net. Like stasis, it hits instantly, and like submission net it has damage over time that takes effect even if the target isn't immobilized by it)
Rank 1: Unlock
Rank 2: Increase recharge speed by 25%
Rank 3: Increase damage dealt by 10%
Rank 4a: Increase damage taken by targets affected by this power from outside sources by 15% (Note, this does not increase the damage the choke does)
Rank 4b: Increase damage by 15%
Rank 5a: Allow force choke to detonate power combos.
Rank 5b: Increase damage dealt by 20%
Rank 6a: Area choke: Allow the choke to affect an area, immobilizing any enemy who walks into it's radius
Rank 6b: Chain Choke: Killing an enemy while this power is active will cause it to jump to another enemy (Like dark channel) (Also, it transfers by launching the enemy killed with it on them at their ally, if they can be ragdolled)

Power 3: Mind crush: Use the force to shatter the enemy's mind, preventing it from differentiating between friend and foe, and forcing it to attack randomly. only one enemy may have their mind crushed at a time- you will not be able to activate this ability again until the enemy dies. (think sabotage, only it works on any enemy, and doesn't prevent them from attacking you if you are the only one they can see, and it doesn't wear off til they die... so not much like sabotage at all, really.)

Rank 2: Increase recharge speed by 5%
Rank 3: Increase damage affected enemies do to their allies by 10%
Rank 4a: Increase damage dealt to affected enemies by 10%
Rank 4b: Increase damage affected enemies do to their allies by 10%
Rank 5a: Decrease damage affected enemies do to teammates by 10%
Rank 5b: Increase likelihood affected enemies will fire at their allies by 25%
Rank 6a: Mind shred: Prevent affected enemies from attacking you or your teammates.
Rank 6b: Mind smash: Affect a wide area, potentially crushing multiple minds at once.

So, yeah. What, you expected SITH to play fair?

Also, this may be the best class I have ever desgined, if I do say so myself.

So. I'm back.

Yeah. It's annoying when no one comments on your hard work.
So, let me be the first.


Appearance: What an epic ninja/mage kind of stance. This looks like a character of great power and ferocity. That image demands attention.

Abilities: The much needed lightning (because Jedi are apparently incapable of force lightning) a force choke for those single targets and a confusion ability. This is a good bunch of abilities that really tear apart the battlefield.

I love what you've done here!

I am proud of force choke- combining the best bits of stasis and submission net.

And it's a sith, could I really NOT give them force lightning and force choke?

And mind crush is like sabotage, except ridiculously good.


Also, fun fact: That is actually starkiller from the bad Dark side ending of force unleashed.

I know the basic framework I want to base my next characters powers on (Bombing runs using drones, for those curious) but I am having trouble finding something to fit that framework that doesn't fit another potential role better

Maybe a terminator?

If it helps you can abandon the framework altogether.

Your kits don't have to fit Soldier, Infiltrator, Vanguard, Adept, Sentinel, Engineer.
You have an amazing idea. Feel free to share.

The strikers are some of the least common fighters around. They are very hard to train and only very few Hanar show proficency in biotics, tech powers and weapon handling. Hanar Strikers tend to work in small squads of 5-10 commandos for SAS style special ops missions. Recognised as being in the same league as Salarian STG, Hanar Strikers are trully a force to be reckoned with.

Neural Shock: Incapacates organics and delivers heavy damage to synthetics. For incapacation effects to work barriers and shields must be down. Neural shock (unlike in Mass Effect 1 and 2) will damage all foes and all protections.

Rank 4a: Damage and duration.
Rank 4b: Area
Rank 5a: Electro Burst (damage to shields and barriers. Also sets up tech bursts).
Rank 5a: Corrosion (Damage over time to health and armor. Also sets up incendiary explosions).

Rank 6a: Cooldown Reduction
Rank 6b: Damage Boost

Mind Blast: Stuns any foe who has no armor regardless of whether they have their shields/barriers up. Has a very short duration. In addition when timed correctly mind blast can enable the hanar to break free of sync kill annimations. Will always setup tech bursts and biotic explosions.

Rank 3: Weakening

Rank 4a: Power synergy (will make foe more vulnerable to powers)
Rank 4b: Power/melee synergy (will make foe more vulnerable to weapon fire and melee attacks)

Rank 5b: Power/melee synergy (will make foe more vulnerable to weapon fire and melee attacks)

Rank 6a:

Barrier:
Like single player this barrier provides bonuses to durability and purging the barrier provides a powerful shockwave.

Rank 2: Purge Damage (purging barrier causes an area of effect detonation)
Rank 3: Hardening Boost (take less damage from all attacks whilst barrier is active)

Rank 4a: Biotic Synergy: Purging Barrier can setup and detonate biotic explosions
Rank 4b: Tech Synergy: Purching Barrier can setup and detonate tech bursts.
Rank 6a:  Damage Boost (whilst barrier is active, you gain damage bonuses to melee, weapons and powers)
Rank 6b: Hardening Boost

Rank 6a: Purging Blast Damage and Radius
Rank 6b: Hardening Boost

Weapon Handling: The Hanar's tentacles are used to control recoil of weapons. Improved weapon maintenance also allows hanar to gain more mileage out of any fire arm.

Rank 1: Accuracy and Stability
Rank 2: Damage per shot
Rank 3: Accuracy and Stability

Rank 4a: Damage per shot and rate of fire.
Rank 4b: Stability and Accuracy (with headshot damage bonus included)

Rank 5a: Sledgehammer: Slower rate of fire. Staggers protected foes and sends unprotected foes flying.
Rank 5b: Improved clip size and reserve ammo.

Rank 6a: Phasic Modding. Partially ignore shield gate. Small bonus to shield/barrier damage.
Rank 6b: Drill Modding. Pass through cover. Small bonus to armor damage and armor weakening.

Light melee is: poison tentacles delivers minor damage to foes.
Heavy Melee is:
biotic tentacles which has a 6 second cooldown.

Character Description: The unity legion is a mysterious organization, Dedicated to upholding it's ideals no matter the cost- Though just what those Ideals are is a matter of much debate amongst many on the extranet. What is not uncertain is that they receive some of the best, and most thorough, specialized training in the galaxy, on par with the best of the best. How a single entity, let alone a non-government private military organization, can afford some of the technology displayed is baffling, but the skill of their operatives cannot be denied.

The Unity Legion Bombardier utilises specialised bombing drones to provide close artillery-level support capable of responing to changing positions and battlefield conditions faster and more accurately than even the best long-distance artillery operator. Power 1: Carpet bomber: Summon a small drone, fired off of a forearm mounted drone catapult, which drops a number of microgrenades, covering the area it passes over in a strip of explosions. (For the animation, imagine ballistic blade firing animation, except instead of an omni-tool spike launcher, the a drone similar to a geth bomber but smaller materializes at his elbow, then is launched at high speed forward)

Rank 3: Increase distance the drone drops ordinance by 25%
Rank 4a: Increase number carried by 2
Rank 4b: Increase damage by 25%
Rank 5a: Increase radius of microgrenades scattered, increasing the width of the explosion
Rank 5b: Increase length of bombing strip by 15%
Rank 6a: Increase force of each explosion by 50%
Rank 6b: Double the drone's payload. after it's initial flight, it will turn in a random direction, and then drop another strip of explosions

Power 2: Rail Drone: Summon a temporary drone equipped with a miniature rail gun, firing massive Eezo slugs to Tear the target apart. Each drone only fires one shot at the targeted enemy before dissipating. A limited number of these can be carried. (The drone, which is visually similar, but a dull brown instead of bright orange, spawns, and shoots a dull brown beam at the enemy it targets. After a few momentss, The beam turns green. A few momentss later, the drone turns green and A blue sphere shoots down the beam at the enemy at high speeds. This blue sphere is the damage-dealing bit, it does not go through walls or other enemies. what it hits takes the damage, even if it isn't what was targeted. the enemy takes massive damage, then the beam fades and the drone fizzles out) (Each round hits with enough force to stagger a possessed praetorian, no matter what damage it does. unprotected enemies will go crashing into walls)

Rank 6b: Detonate the ordinance, causing damage in a small radius around where it struck.

Power 3: Cryo bomber: Fire a small bomber drone, which will drop cryo-pulse grenades, freezing and chilling enemies in it's radius. a limited number of these can be carried. (Animation: Same deal as the carpet bomber)

Rank 6a: Increase radius by 150%
Rank 6b: Increase duration of freeze and chill effects by 300%

Passives: They start out with 700 shields and 600 health. Like the talon merc, they regenerate grenades. For their heavy melee, they turn around, put their hand up to their ear like they're on the radio, and then a massive column of death comes down from orbit to crush and roast anything in front of them.

Yes, their heavy melee is calling in an orbital strike mere centimeters from them. and then LOOKING AWAY. because cool guys don't look at explosions.


Right, ok, so i am thinking of spinning off this whole "Unity Legion" thing into it's own entire DLC thread, with 6 classes and the whole shebang. Just want to post this guy here to sorta test the waters, get a feel for the Aesthetic of the group. What do you guys think? Of the powers, and of the idea of the "Unity legion" As a whole. Like cerberus, but with trenchcoats in place of incompetence.

Raloi Boom Squads are actually a very common tactic. They normally work in units of 8-12 spamming grenades to overwhelm and destroy enemy forces. The main reason for this tactic being used in war is psychological. When an entire area of a battlefield is blanketed with grenades, even the most seasoned soldiers panic. Within no time an entire section of a battlefield has been devastated by more than a hundred grenades.

Boom Squads have patterns however. They have long moments of silence followed by an ambush attack in which a large number of grenades  are thrown all at once. Then they dissappear. The boom squad could strike at any time shattering the silence with a raging inferno of explosions.

Whilst Reapers are immune to psychological warfare, the Raloi Grenader's natural proficency with grenade usage has made them a valuable asset to the team.

Rank 5a: Melee and Power Vulnerability. Affected targets take more damage from melee attacks and powers.
Rank 5b: Weapon Vulnerability. Affected targets take more damage from weapons. 

Rank 6a: Damage
Rank 6b: Area

Cryo Grenade:  Weakens all protections, freezes unprotected foes and will slightly slow down protected foes.

Rank 3: Barrier/shield weakening.

Rank 4a: Cryo Synergy. Cryo Grenades will setup and detonate more powerful cryo explosions. These explosions will have a larger area of effect and deal more damage.
Rank 4b: Weapon Synergy. All foes affected by cryo grenades (even if they're merely chilled) will take more damage from weapons.

Rank 5a: Area of Effect
Rank 5b: Damage dealt 

Rank 6a: Armor weakening
Rank 6b: Barrier/shield weakening

Arc Grenade: Will damage shields/barriers and synthetics. Will also stun any unprotected foes.

Rank 4a: Cryo Synergy. When cryo grenade preceeds arc grenade, the arc grenade deals much more damage to shields/barriers.
Rank 4b: Tech Vulnerability. Affected targets take more damage from any grenades and tech powers. Also provides better tech bursts that deal more damage over a wider area.

Rank 5a: Shield/Barrier Damage
Rank 5b: Area of Effect

Rank 6a: Cluster Arc. Greatly increase the area of effect by dividing the grenade into little clusters. This will also reduce damage output.
Rank 6b: Sticky Arc. Greatly reduce the area of effect by focusing all the damage into a smaller space. This will greatly increase the damage output.

Light Melee: Flash Bang: The Raloi's light melee is similiar to Deku Nut from the Zelda games. You unleash a flash that briefly stuns foes.

Heavy Melee: Solar. A large flash of light causes an enemies weapons to briefly overheat. The attack also briefly reduces a target's damage output, meaning all of the target's attacks will do less damage. Unprotected foes are sent flying. All foes take some damage.

Rank 5a:
 Flash Synergy. Both melee attacks will make foes vulnerable to all types of attacks.
Rank 5b: Sync Kill Immunity. When a foe starts a sync kill annimation, a flash of light will cause the foe to release their hold.

Rank 6a:
 Team Bonus (entire team gets a bonus to health, shields and melee damage)
Rank 6b: Personal Bonus: You gain a larger bonus to health, shields and melee damage

Both bonuses stack.

Rank 6b: Grenade Damage and grenade Capacity + 1
