Just for a bit of background for those interested in the Reaper characters, you've got a bit more freedom than you may think. After all via the awakened collector we can see that when the mind link between the reapers is severed and the subject regains sentience they undergo many changes (one would think from being able to think for themselves, and having their link to the reapers severed disabling some of their tech/alterations or something along these lines). From becoming far more powerful to even undergoing physical changes (differences in wings, antennae, etc.), showing we can make /some/ alterations to the current units. They just have to resemble the old ones.

This is also a bit of a lead in to my husk concept, can't wait to turn this little pipsqueak of a reaper unit into a powerhouse

Reaper Husk soldier

Health 600

Appearence (Because I really didn't think I would ever find a pic to suit a de-reaperized husk): These husks have regained a bit more of their human-like structure, being a bit more filled out and bulky in addtion to being as tall as normal humans. Their face isn't as husk like now, most of it being normal looking with the exception of the upper right part, in which one eye still looks enterely husk like. Their skin has not regained it's human hue, and they have a grayish pallor still, in addtion to their stomach still being cut out, and having the more pronounced, claw like hands of the husk. They only wear chest and leg armor, leaving the arms and head exposed, their reapearized hide usually acts as amor enough so the armor they wear is also relativley light.

Concept: when the mind link was severed between the Reapers, the husks were an oddity in the converted forces. Instead of becoming sentient like most other would, they instead retained a "hive mind" with the other converted husks, meaning they al now think and feel what all the other feel. unlike the Geth, who are all connected and are technically different units but with no individuality, the husk hive mind is almost like having two seperate bodies, the husk being one who can think on it's own, but the hive mind being another. The husk may be able to think on his own, but if other husks are in the vicinity they will all act with the same purpose, as if they are one person, and instead their bodies are just extensions of the hive mind. On their own, husks are almost individual even though they are connected to the hive mind because there are no other husks in the area to act on the same purpose. But when others are near, they "link up" and corrdinate attacks with deadly proficency.

The husk soldier can carry weapons, it has regained enough of it's sentince to do that. But the main advantadge and power of the ex-husk soldier lies in his new power. The ability to transform fallen enemies into reaperized lesser husks than link up to the hive mind and follow his commands. The Ex-Reaper husk is in no way shape or form powerful on his own, but he relies on sheer power and numbers to obliterate the enemy. He may start off with little power, but for every enemy that falls at his hands he gains an ally. And an ally that with follow his commands to the letter, and act with no self-preservation. Soldiers have said that on the battlefield the ex-husk almost reminds them of a Geth prime unit, weilding powerful weapons compared to his subordinates and attacking. While his less powerful comrades cordinate with him with deadly percision and close in to overwhelm the enemy.

Special characteristics:

Hive mind command: heavy melee is replaced with the ability to command spawned husks, using your heavy melee while locked onto a target will cause the ex-husk to command the lesser husks he spawns to swarm that enemy and attack it. Holding the heavy melee while not targeting anything will cause the lesser husks to instead regroup around you and follow you. when the husks are grouped around you they will merely attack any enemies that get to close.

Powers:

Dragon Tooth: spawn a dragon's tooth from the ground to impale your target and any corpses in the area. Causing massive damage to your target and transforming any human sized corpses nearby to commandable lesser husks. as well as your target is they are human sized and die from it. (note that lesser husks have bright red LED lights instead of blue to signify they are not normal husks)

Mechanics: this spawns a dragon tooth at your target, and will also impale any human sized enemy corpses within it's radius, transforming corpses into lesser husks. If the enemy you target is human sized they will be impaled and take massive damage, if they die from this imaplement they become a lesser husk as well. If you do not target anything when you spawn a dragon tooth it will instead act as if you were the center and impale any corpses near you. Only a certian number of husks can be spawned at a time

Rank 1: damage 800 radius of corpse impalement 6M maximum corpses impaled during one cast 3, maximum number of lesser husks allowed 5. Lesser husk health 400, lesser husk damage (uses normal husk claw swipe) 70, recharge time 12 seconds

Rank 2: increase lesser husk damage by 20

Rank 3
: decrease rechrage speed by 3 seconds

Rank 4: A. increase Lesser husk health by 100

               B. increase maximum number of husks allowed by 1

Rank 5: A. cause husks you spawn to have acidic claws, dealing an extra 30 damage over 3 seconds 

               B. If a lesser husk kills a human sized enemy and there are not already the maximum amount of husks out that enemy will automatically become a lesser husk

Rank 6: A. increase maximum amount of husks allowed by 2, if a lesser husk dies there is a 60% chance it will leave behind a (dimly glowing to show the differnce to the player) husk corpse that can be brought back to life by casting Dragon's tooth near it, and increase lesser husk health by 50

               B. Turn your lesser husks into abomonations, when they die they will explode and deal 300 damage to all enemies within a 2M redius, increase damage done by normal attack by 20

Hive mind: tap into the hive mind of husks, connecting you and all the lesser husks you spawn. For each one you spawn it is an addtional mind to think with you, an addtional set of eyes to increase your situational awareness, more thinking and experince to help your reactions. Increasing the amount of damage you deal with your weapons for evey husk you have, and allowing you to see through their eyes. The amount of husks you have spawned is reprsented by a counter in the upper left hand corner of the screen, while in hive mind mode all lesser husks will be highlighted in a dark blue hue., even tough walls)

Rank 1: increase weapon damage by 1.5% for every lesser husk you have spawned, highlight enemies red that are within 4M of a lesser husk

Rank 2: increase weapon damage for each lesser husk by .5%

Rank 3: increase highlight distance to 5M

Rank 4: A. every time a lesser husk dies, gain a 10% damage bonus for 8 seconds (does not stack)

               B. every time a lesser husk dies highlight all corpses usable to create another one in green within a 30M radius for 3 seconds

Rank 5: A.Whenever a lesser husk is within 15M of you it gains an addtional 100 health and 20 damage bonus

               B.  whenever you have a lesser husk within 5M of you, gain an addtional 5% weapon damage bonus

Rank 6: A. decrease damage taken by 4% for every husk you have spawned

               B. your lesser husks regenerate 25 health per second for every lesser husk spawned on the field

Rank 6A: give your lesser husks a small shield (100) that will regenerate if they go without taking fire.

Yeah, I defineitly had to be creative with this one, but man did it turn out awesome! Oh, the joys it would bring to actually play an ex-husk with a zombie horde following you around. I have to say I'm actually pretty damn happy with how this turned out

This new concept rocks.

Not only was it Phoenix's idea to add Ex-Reapers (or Free Reapers as they are now going to be known), Phoenix contributed the first concept. It's basically a necromancer. I love playing as necromancers.

I remember playing Baldur's Gate and summoning an army of skeleton zombies to attack my foes. What I love about this contributions is not only is there a lot of detail about how this new kit works, but the ideas are pretty solid.

I'm not entirely sure how the Dragoon Tooth (spike impaling device) is applied. Does the Necromancer have it on his/her back at all times and then places it on the ground when there is some zombification to be done?

Frag grenade doesn't fit the necromancy theme.


Okay. Enough with the niggles. THIS CONCEPT IS AMAZING!!!!!

I love it! Really, really love it!


Oh and thanks alias of all. I will rename the faction to Free Reapers.

I think the Dragon teeth act either as a station or the spikes burst under dead enemies to impale them, that's how I was interpreting it.

(Concept:Less ranged more up in your face and slashing it off or making nearby enemies fight each other. And it doesn't use a cloak per se but rather broadcasts a reaper signal to mask itself. Uses the Arc Strike to stun targets before moving in to infect them or can be used to soften targets up for easy infection)

That'd be awesome! Especially since the one place I always feel like my kits are lacking in is art. Thanks aliasofall! 

EDIT: oh, and abraham, alais was right. The Dragon's teeth come out of the ground and impale the things they turn into husks.

Mercenaries.

The creativity on this thread has been really strong so far because of the idea of filling the gaps.
The People on BSN thinking very hard to conceptualize how an Asari Engineer might work, or how to make a biotic robot.

The challenge is with Mercenaries is, what gaps are left to fill in?
Perhaps female versions of races that didn't make it to multiplayer.

Anyway. We've had 5 pages of excellent ideas.
Keep up the good ideas.

Oh, and there's plenty of creativity left with mercenaries, especially since mercenaries are known for doing stuff the others wouldn't normally do. Asari? go be an engineer! Salarian? go be a sentinel! they use weapons and such that are filled with possibilities, especially since we haven't seen that many in-depth analysis's of them. So the mercenaries can be practically anything we can think of.

Simply put, these creatures are pure melee.
No one seems interested in providing concepts for these.

I think that controlling creatures that move on all fours and cannot wield weapons provide a very different style of game play.


However. If you feel up to the challenge, make your reservation before I contribute my concepts.
As you know, I can be very greedy...

Rachni Siren

class Type-Adept

The Siren is an adolescent Rachni Queen that is being sent out along allied forces to help the rachni colonize and bolster their numbers for the war. The Rachni of the royal class have a natural tendency towards biotics with the Queens being no exception. The Siren sole purpose in the war is to fight, grow, and reclaim the Rachni's former glory.

(Play style-Unique-Tendrils incorporate the effects of any weapon equipped ex. shotgun equipped results in the tendrils shooting spines in a similar manner and beam weaponry is biotic energy stream. Cant use cover)

Dash-Teleport Dash-Teleports when jumping to the side
Burrow Dash-When dashing forwards or backwards you jump into the ground and burrow jump forwards or backwards.

Light Melee-Tendril Swipe-The siren uses her tendrils like whips and swats enemies that get too close
Heavy Melee-Tendril Biotic Stab-The Siren charges its tendrils up and impales light enemy forces, while heavier enemy targets are knocked back by the force of the Tendril.

Abilities-

Siren's Call- The Siren uses its undeveloped mind control abilities to crush the enemies will.
Rank 1:Unlock-
Damage per second-70,Duration-8 secs, Affected by stun-Health Based,Recharge Speed-20 secs, effect radius- Target only.
Rank 2: Duration- Increase duration by 20%

Rank 6b:Weapon Weight-Decrease all weapon weight by 5%

Rachni Hierarchy-The Rachni's very culture is based on a hierarchy, thus it works together.
Rank 1:Unlock-Health and Shield Bonus 20%, Melee Damage Bonus 20%,Heavy Melee charge up speed -20%
Rank 2:Durability-Increases health and shield bonuses by 15%.
Rank 3:Melee Damage-Increase melee damage bonus by 25%.
Rank 4a:Melee Damage-Increase melee damage bonus by 30%.
Increase heavy melee damage bonus by 30%
Rank 4b:Durability-Increase health and shield bonuses by 20%.
Rank 5a:Evolved Tendrils-Increase melee damage by 75% for 30 seconds after an opponent is killed by a heavy melee.
Rank 5b:Barrier Recharge-Decrease barrier-recharge delay by 15%.
Rank 6a:Hive Mentality- When there are more Rachni in the match the Siren gains 10% reduction to recharge speed. (Also head visually changes to queens head)
Rank 6b: Extinction Survivor-Increase health and barrier bonuses by 30%.
Increase damage protection by 10%

Notes-The Siren is designed for both support and offense so use her accordingly she can be used to push her self forwards or her fellow teammates forwards.

Finally posted up one of the Rachni was busy and didn't have much time will be working on the Free Reaper Husk visual along with the other Rachni concepts.

I love the abilities.

Dman. Two of my characters have an ability called "Biotic Spray".(though it's very different)

Smash works well.
Biotic Spray is an area of effect damage over time attack.


Siren's call is similar to dominate but more damaging.



Some great concepts. The melee abilities work well.
Good use of biotic powers.
This looks like a pretty strong kit.

Thanks wait till I post up the Vanguard 
One thing the Siren's call only acts like dominate on melee enemies otherwise you turn enemy ranged forces into grenadiers or using their support abilities on you ex. Free Reaper husk soldier and its husks could get Blood Armor from a Marauder under Siren's call evolution path. When say a possessed collector is affected it will release a friendly Collector Web for you.  
Also managed to think of a way for rachni to be able to use guns without using their stubby arms

Yes. A Geth Platform can be a Freelancer.

Oh and please do use the "Vanguard" class.
