And here's the freed banshee

Health : 600

Barrier: 900

Appearence: (I may be adding more detail later since this was one of the things deleted and I don't feel like re-writing it) About the size of the Warlord, head reverted to normal banshee looks but with head frills similar to a banshee, has retained gray skin color. wears light armor and LED lights are still sticking out across the  armor. still keeps long claws

Concept: These freed banshees are forces to be reckoned with, for multiple reasons. When the reapers experimented on Asari Ardat-Yakshi, they genetically modified all the soldiers they created to unlock their hidden biotic potential as Ardat-Yakshi. Meaning even those whose condition was minimal are now as powerful  as Ardat-Yakshi like Morinth. Making them deadly in their abilities and power. In addtion to this they have also had greatly augmented biotics thanks to their unlocked Ardat-Yakshi traits as well as Reaper modification, making them some of the most deadly biotics in the universe.

_________________________________________________________________________________________

Special characteristics:

Melee: light melee is quick one claw overhead swipe, heavy melee is slow double claw swipe

Dodge: Teleportation dodge

Mobility: runs just about as fast as any normal race, cannot take cover

__________________________________________________________________________________________

Powers:

Image IPB

Succubus Gaze: Use your extremely powerful unlocked Ardat-Yakshi Genes to Dominate large groups of enemies, unfourunatly because you are taking control of a group your power loses percision and duration, making it only useful for a brief moment. Instead the Succubus forces any lesser willed enemies they can control to kill themselves, removing them from the battle. She can also destroy the circutry of any synthetics by destroying them instead of warping the network they use which is very similar to a nervous system.

(can be used from any distance, animation is the Succubus's eyes glow red and she stares at the enemy, any enemies near him are also dominated. Any affected organics will shoot themselves, any synhetics will merely shut down due to the Banshee overpowering their circuts which are similar to nervous systems. However only one synthetic will be killed as opposed to a group)

Strong willed organics are: Anything larger than a human, Dragoons, abomonations (not really any mind to control) and husk

Synthetics with barriered/protected circutry are: Prime and pyro

Rank 1: maximum amount of killed enemies 2, radius 3M, recharge speed 17 seconds

Rank 2: decrease recharge speed by 2 seconds

Rank 3: increase radius by 1M, increase maximum affected targets by 1

Rank 4: A. gain a 10% damage reduction reave ffect after using the power for 5 seconds

B. increase radius by 2M

Rank 5: A. cause any addtional synthetics in radius (original target will still be shut down) to go beserk and attack anything (you or allies) nearby. Can go up to maximum affected enemies.

B. Fry the nervous systems of enemies to strong willed to control, these units will not know the differnce between friend and foe. When using Succubus's gaze on something you can't kill, it will instead be the only affected enemy and go beserk, effects scale down to wrthlessness like sabotage.

Rank 6: A. true domination, maximum number of units affected is reduced to one, this enemy will be focused upon percisely controlled to fight for your side. This unit will fight with you for 15 seconds before killing themselves (works on synthetics as well)

B. When an enemy kills themselves you gain the amount of health they had in biotic barriers

_________________________________________________________________________________________

Image IPB
Rift field: create a biotic field so incredibly intense it creates a lingering effect that rips apart anything that steps within it's range. this field is too intense to be created far away from the caster.

Rank 1: Radius 5M range can be cast from 7M (2M from very edge of Rift), damage on cast 1300 lingering damage 200 per second, duration 5 seconds, recharge speed 19 seconds

Rank 1: increase radius by 1M

Rank 2: decrase recharge speed by 2 sec

Rank 3: increase range can be cast by 2M

Rank 4: A. increase instant damage by 400, increase lingering damage by 100

B. increase radius by 2M, decrease recharge speed by 1 sec

Rank 5: A. transform the biotic energy when allies step within it's field to protect them. Allies in the field receive 15% DR

B. slow enemies within the field by 35%

Rank 6: A. increase lingering damage by 200, increase instant damage by 300, increase lingering damage duration by 2 seconds

B. cause the Rift to tear open a dark matter explosion upon dying, decreasing the lingering effect duration by 3 seconds, but increasing the instant damage by 500 and causing a explosion on death that does an addtional 1200 (not modifiable by power damage) damage
_________________________________________________________________________________________

Banshee Mode: Activate your reaper implants to accelerate your biotics to incredible heights, while also destroying your acess to certian abilities and only being able to use your reaper implant allowed ones. You also cannot run because of the immense power draw and intensive amss effect field the implants generate. You gain a huge boost in your biotic abilities, as well as a strong biotic barrier, and acess to special banshee abilities.

Mechanics: in banshee mode you cannot run, your normal dash is replaced by a 3M long teleport that does not use barriers. You cannot use rift or Succubus Gaze, your heavy melee is replaced by a banshee inpalement that lets you pick up any human sized enemy and kill them in a long sync kill, your light melee is replaced by a high damage warp ball. you gain abiotic barrer that negates enemy power damage (I.E. dragoon whip smashes, phantom phase disruptors/palm blasters, banshee warps) and gives a DR.

Rank 1: light melee warp damage 400 light melee warp DoT 200, barrier DR 30%, increase barrier by 200, duration of banshee mode 12 seconds, cooldown 14 seconds

Rank 2: increase light melee warp damage by 200

Rank 3: increase barrier DR by 10%

Rank 4: A. increase barrier by an addtional 200

B. increase dash range by 1M

Rank 5:
A. replace Rift with a banshee nova while in banshee mode, deals 800 damage over 5.5M, 6 second cooldown

B. Replace Succubus Gaze with Dominate while in Banshee mode, one unit is affected by dominate for 6 seconds, 8 second cooldown

Rank 6: A. increase DR by an addtional 10%, increase abrriers by an addtional 200 while in banshee mode

B. using your heavy melee when not targeting an enemy will cause you to scream before standing in one place and begining to regenerate barriers. You cannot move while regenerating, regernerate 250 barrier per second

________________________________________________________________________________________

Long time coming I know, but I'm pretty proud of it. Lemme know what you guys think!

Wow... that's just... wow... Gimmegimmegimmegimmegimme I GOTTA HAVE DAT BANSHEE!

Seriously, though, that banshee sounds RIDICULOUSLY good at crowd control.

I have one, don't take it seriously, in fact don't even add it to the list, it's just for fun:
Shepinator
Power 1: Murder pistol: pull out your pistol, (A basic predator if you don't have a pistol equipped) shoot target three times, each time doing damage equal to the damage cap (The max amount of damage possible to deal per hit, each time, bypassing shield gate, health gate, whatever.)
Power 2: Make time for aerial bombardment: Call in an airstrike based around your position, massive amounts of damage dealt to enemies caught in it's (Impressive) radius.
Power 3, and the power that makes this kit TRULY Commander Shepard levels of powerful: Plot Armor: Activate to reduce your shield recharge time and more importantly Shield GATE re-activation time, to COMPLETELY INSTANT. (I.E. YOU WILL LITERALLY ALWAYS BE PROTECTED BY SHIELD GATE.) Also grants immunity to sync-kills. Activate again to apply this effect to all squad members.

Don't even put it on the list as a serious kit, do not take it seriously, THIS IS A JOKE KIT!

Thank you for the feedback!

Also love the joke shep class, I've heard a few like it before.

I'm also starting to put up some icons for the powers, please pardon them if they look REALLY bad. I don't do image manipulation much so editing the old icons hasn't gone extremely well.

Your banshee seems to be the ultimate mook killing machine; in fact, it seems to be ridiculously good all around. I like how it can basically go full-on banshee mode to utterly faceroll anything, too.

Well, it's kind of supposed to be a juggernaut/asari adept mix. because compared to things like the Krogan and juggernaut it's barriers are wimpy and that it's a bigger target+you have to get close for rift means that you have to be relatively careful with her. and since you can't run while in banshee mode (think about how quickly the juggies shields can go down even at epic levels if he's not restoring them) you need to try and play it safe, even with the DR. so it's not exactly a "glass cannon" per say since she still has reasonable health and barriers, but if you don't have some good situational awareness you can be devastated.

But overall I can see what you mean, the mook killing potential in this one is HUGE. Succubus Gaze can help clear out any lesser enemies (marauders will no longer be the bane of players!) while rift can also take bosses and mooks around him out. Even though banshee mode takes away your other two abilities you get a slew of new ones (abraham asked how I would make an actual banshee, I couldn't really think of how to top the locust. So I gave her literal banshee mode!) and let's you sync kill anything in your path along with the teleportation of a banshee.

I really saw this kit as what the Awakened collector should've been, an amazing and extremely powerful kit with diverse and unique abilities offset by long cooldowns and risk vs. reward.

Oh wow!

My, oh my.

This is amazing! I have no idea where to begin.

So let me start with the mass domination field that hacks both organics and synthetics.
A great crowd control tool that turns the battleground into a banshee playground. Also a good damaging power in its own right.

For main damage you have this rift field that does heavy area of effect obliterating enemies in their wake, and can be used to defend your team mates (depending on spec).

Then you provide Banshee mode, with all the banshee abilities we've come to expect. If Freed Reapers were playable kits, players would be Banshee screeching their way though hundreds of reserve packs to get their hands on this.

To play as one of these would be the most epic fun ever!

This kit would probably listed as "Ultra Rare".

Keep up the good ideas Phoenix!!!!!

At Phoenix. Given what you've done with the Freed Reapers, I'm happy to reserve all Freed Reaper concepts for you.

Heck, I'm considering creating a thread dedicated to the Freed Reaper concepts.

Now Ultimate Pheer! I'm game! Let's see what you've got for CAT 6. I'm excited!

Okay everyone.

Please check out The Ashen Phoenix Freed Banshee Concept on page 7.

Also check out Ex-Cerberus Venerator Engineer and Geth Asymmetric Vanguard on page 6.

Two new sections added.

Salarian STG: Salarian STG is now sending 100% of it's operatives to help out the N7's. If you didn't get the chance to include salarian characters earlier on, now is your chance!

Shadow Broker Mercenaries: With the Reaper war raging on, Shadow Broker contacts have been mostly slaughtered. The Mercenaries who were tasked with protecting these important contacts have been repurposed as soldiers in the Alliance's N7 program.

All right, first up, CAT 6 Heavy soldier. (Or, the kit that made tank paladins redundant)

Power 1: Omni shield; Erect a shield projected from your omni-tool, slowing you down, slowing your reload times decreasing accuracy and preventing you from entering cover, but intercepting all attacks from the front so long as it remains active.  Should the shield take too much damage, it will break, deactivating and forcing you to wait on it's cooldown. It's health will slowly regenerate while not taking damage. You can still suffer knockback while it is active, but you will stagger back while holding your shield in front of you, meaning you don't lose any damage protection from, say, a scion triple-tap. Note that the other two powers cannot be activated while this is inactive. The shield will shift from blue to yellow to red as it takes damage, then backwards from red to yellow to blue as it's health recharges. You are also able to tell how much health your shield has, as it's power icon will reverse-recharge as it takes damage until it is fully un-charged, breaking and re-charging. Note cooldown only activates upon the shield turning off.
Rank 1: Unlock
Rank 2: Increase shield health by 25%
Rank 3: Reduce cooldown by 30%
Rank 4a: Decrease accuracy and movement speed penalties by 33%
Rank 4b: Increase shield health by 25%
Rank 5a: Electrify the shield, priming enemies which melee it for tech bursts.
Rank 5b: Increase shield health by 35% and shield health regeneration speed by 20%
Rank 6a: When the shield breaks or is deactivated manually, release a powerful energy pulse, staggering enemies around you and temporarily supercharging your shields to add an extra 50%
Rank 6b: Increase shield health and health regeneration speed by 25%, reflect projectiles that hit the shield,(Note that this does not negate the damage)

Power two: Bulwark: Plant and harden your shield, creating a hard piece of cover you or allies can take cover behind like a wall. Only one bulwark may be active at a time, and it will deactivate after a period of time, removing the cover. Taking damage will expedite this deactivation. Like the normal omni-shield, this will also shift from blue to yellow to red as it comes closer to deactivating. All health bonuses applied to the omni-shield will also apply to the shield wall, thus increasing the amount of time which a single wall can remain active. (Note that this will NOT trigger the long cooldown of the omni-shield, it will instead trigger it's own, much shorter cooldown)
Rank 1: Unlock
Rank 2: Decrease recharge time by 15%
Rank 3: Decrease the speed which shield wall health is lost by 20%
Rank 4a:  Decrease speed at which shield wall health is lost by 15%
Rank 4b: Decrease recharge time by 20%
Rank 5a: Increase the shields and damage of allies taking cover behind the shield wall by 15%
Rank 5b: Channel weapon heat into the shield, increasing clip size byy 25%
Rank 6a:  Turn the shield wall on it's side, allowing two allies to hide behind wait high cover instead of one hiding behind full height cover
Rank 6b: When the shield wall deactivates, detonate it to damage and stagger any enemies in the blast radius. this can prime and detonate tech bursts.

And finally, power three: Phalanx: Supercharge your omni-shield, erecting a bubble of shields decreasing damage taken by allies in it's radius, decreasing their shield recharge delay, increasing the damage they deal, and increasing damage damage dealt to enemies in it's radius, but immobilizing you at it's center. you are also immune to staggers while this skill is active. (think volus heavy melee, only merged with the biotic bubble from the asari justicar)
Rank 1: Unlock
Rank 2: Increase damage protection and boost by 15%
Rank 3: Decrease shield recharge delay by 25%
Rank 4a: Increase radius by 50%
Rank 4b: Increase damage dealt to enemies inside the bubble by 30%
Rank 5a: Electrify the interior of the bubble, priming enemies for tech bursts
Rank 5b: Enemies who attempt to enter the bubble are staggered the first time they attempt to enter the bubble
Rand 6a: Solidify the shields in front of where you are aiming, preventing allies, allied fire, enemies and enemy fire from entering or leaving the bubble in the direction you are facing. (So you can rotate the camera to move an impenetrable wall around to protect teammates from powerful attacks)
Rank 6b: Upon deactivation of the sheild, release a burst of heat, dealing damage based upon the amount of full clips fired by your allies within the bubble while it was active, detonating tech comboes. (Note, this takes into account, for damage calculation, the clip size of each of your allies weapons, and then determines, based on the amount of times your allies fired that amount of shots from that weapon, how much damage to deal. for example, emptying a clip from a revenant and a claymore would both add the same amount of damage to the burst released upon deactivation.)

This guy? This guy is what the Juggernaut WISHES it could be. it is, quite frankly, one MEAN AS HELL tank. With a shield that he can move around with (Suck it paladin!), a bubble like the justicar, and the ability to deploy cover, you will no longer have to fear the reapers. or cerberus, or the geth, or the collectors, either! You are immobilized while phalanx is active, but if you immobilize yourself somewhere helpful, like in a hack zone, you can help out a whole hell of alot.  The bubble can detonate it's own tech bursts with evolution 6b, and the shield wall can last for a long time if you went full health on the omni-shield power tree.

Whaddya think? Good, bad, insane?

Gonna get to work on my CAT 6 vanguard next... muahaha! *Maniacal cackling*

Okay. Let me first be make a mountain out of a mole hill, for one moment.

"All right, first up, CAT 6 Heavy soldier. (Or, the kit that made tank paladins redundant)".

Not really. Tank Paladins have an entirely different skill set. They are more tanking mages.

Your kit is the equivalent of the Sword and Shield warrior skilled in the art of defending the squad. So basically a Knight if you're thinking of D&D classes.

Okay that kit is amazing. The first kit that actually proper specialist in protecting the team.
Sure Volus characters, the Asari Justicar, N7 Paladins and Geth Juggernauts can be used to fill this role. But they are badly trumped by the kit you've come up with.

First of all, the omnishield that allows you to move and shoot is a neat idea. I love the electrical bubble and the bulwark abilities.

One of my main qualms with abilities like fortification, barrier and tech armor is that they provide insufficient bonuses to defense and also insufficient penalties. Your Omnishield provides the ability to tank with a separate layer of defense at the cost of movement.

You took the best defensive aspects from "defensive" characters from online multiplayer, improved upon them and applied them to the Cat 6 Heavy.

This is epic!

Man. I'm gonna have to think of something spectacular to compete with this.

Both Phoenix and Pheer transforming Page 7 into pure brilliance!

Who would win in a fight CAT 6 Heavy or Cerberus Guardian?
CAT 6 would win in my opinion. If the Guardian loses that shield, they can't get it back. CAT 6 also gets better armor and superior rate of fire.

I admit, it is perhaps inappropriate to compare it to a paladin, but it's one simple mistake, and not really a criticism of the class itself, more me misinterpreting a class. I value your feedback and would like to know how you think you would spec and play that kit.

also, do you think a CAT 6 vanguard would work using tech powers to substitute for biotics?

My answer to your question is yes.

A few rules I personally go by:
Please note that this is just one guys opinion and hardly definitive.

Adept: There are no non-biotic adepts, though I do make allowances for Psudo Adept creations (that involve combat/tech powers as long as they are good enough substitutions for biotics). Heck I created a Geth Psudo Adept which is in the opening post.

Engineer: Absolutely has to have tech powers. There is a suggestion for an Asari Engineer in opening post. That one has a biotic power...

Soldier: I doesn't matter whether the soldier revolves around combat powers, tech powers or biotic powers. In my mind they must either be tanks, melee specialists or proficient users of guns. If the character isn't one of the three, then I'm not okay with classing the kit as a soldier.

Sentinel: My one rule for sentinels, is that they are versatile. They can be tanks, they can be biotics, they can be tech specialists, they can be combat orientated. As long as they cover more than 2 bases, they are sentinels. That said, sentinels are becoming less of a class and more of a random collection of kits.

Infiltrator: Infiltrators have one power in common. Tactical Cloak. That is the only stipulation. All infiltrators must have tactical cloak.

Vanguard: As long as the vanguard has Charge or a varient of charge, then it's okay. Personally I would have classed the Turian Havok as a Vanguard. So you you can have a tech orientated vanguard with not biotic powers.

Alright... CAT 6 Specialist Vanguard... lets get this show on the road.

Though not technically biotics in their own right, CAT 6 employs specialists with Eezo enhanced armor systems and extensive augmentations to simulate combat grade biotics.

Biotic charge:  Basically almost the same as everyone else's, only light blue like CAT6 drones instead of dark blue like the other vanguards. CAT 6 does it with style. It is basically the normal biotic charge with normal evolutions except for one evolution. still restores shields, the whole shebang.
Rank 1: Unlock
Rank 2: Increase recharge speed
Rank 3: increase damage and force
Rank 4a: staggers and deals light damage to enemies within a 2 meter radius
Rank 4b: Force and damage are increased
Rank 5a: Boosts weapon damage after a biotic charge
Rank 5b: Boosts power damage after a biotic charge
Rank 6a: Detonating a biotic explosion with charge will re-prime all enemies stuck by the explosion
Rank 6b: Barriers restored increased from 50% to 100%

Targeting drone: Summon a small drone, aestetically similar to the CAT6 kamikaze drones, to hover over your shoulder. It will aim at an enemy targeted by powers and emit a laser at them to prime them after a few moments.
Rank 1: Unlock
Rank 2: Decrease cooldown
Rank 3: Increase biotic detonation damage
Rank 4a: Increase the radius of biotic explosions primed by the drone.
Rank 4b: Decrease time taken to prime a target
Rank 5a: Increase damage and force of biotic explosions
Rank 5b: Highlight enemies target through walls for allies
Rank 6a: Allows the drone to target and prime enemies through walls. (Note that this forces your power targeting recticle to focus on an enemy through a wall... Charge away)
Rank 6b: Increase force, damage and radius of biotic explosions.

Biotic blades: Much like ballistic blades or nightshade blades, but they don't use grenades. they also detonate biotic explosions. they, too are light blue like that of the CAT6 drones.
Rank 1: Unlock
Rank 2: Decrease cooldown
Rank 3: Increase damage
Rank 4a: Widen and flatten the spread, hitting a wide arc
Rank 4b: Tighten the spread, focusing the blades into a narrower cone
Rank 5a: Decrease movement speed of enemies hit by blades. the movement penalty is proportional to the amount of blades which hit them
Rank 5b: Regain shields for every blade which strikes and enemy.
Rank 6a: Blades which miss and embed themselves in walls, floors and ceilings will detonate should an enemy walk near them, dealing minor damage.
Rank 6b: If more than one blade strikes an enemy that is primed for a biotic explosion, or if the enemy blades are stuck in is hit with a biotic or tech combo, the blades will scatter, striking other enemies within range.

You see this monster? Move over, vanguards, there's a new monster brawler in town.

Another epic kit.

The charge has some interesting evolutions.
First vanguard to have a drone. A drone with biotic evolutions? Epic.

I'm also liking those biotic blades.

A very good kit with a strong Cat 6 attitude.

I like it!

I have the Klixen next, followed by a Biotic Varren. Yep. A biotic Varren.

Also please give some feedback on Freed Banshee, CAT 6 Heavy Soldier and CAT 6 Specialist Vanguard.
Lots of hard work has gone into these kits.:wizard:

I figure: CAT 6 is basically full of people with HUGE criminal records and histories of steroid abuse, the organization is even NAMED after the Alliance designation for people who were dishonorable discharged, so why not bring the best?

Did you notice a sneaky combo I hid in biotic charge to let you make use of all three powers for a double-tap-detonation?

Yep. Sorry, forgot I re-named the skill from pulse charge... gonna go fix that. It's supposed to say BIOTIC charge there. Oops.

Edit: Ok, fixed that little... typo. But anyway, yeah, if you charge an enemy that is primed for a biotic detonation, it will re-prime the enemy should they survive the detonation... meaning enemies who can survive a charge and biotic explosion will have to contend with ANOTHER biotic detonation coming their way via biotic blades.

This kit truly is CRUEL to enemies...

Also, cackling maniacally is not something to be discouraged while using this kit- after all, why shouldn't you get to laugh evilly when you are this evil?

Anyway... Would anyone mind telling me how they would choose to spec either of my CAT 6 kits?

I actually usually think of how I would spec my kits afterwards. I feel like it would be really awesome to hear how people would ACTUALLY play this instead of just looking at the powers.

CAT 6 heavy soldier 6/6/6/6/0

Is there really any need for fitness? I'd probably make it a class that takes one point and DOES NOT LET GO, while also specializing him in some heavy weapons damage to allow him to pin down the point and kill anything that tries to get in as well as defending it with his shields. I'd spec the omni shield for decreased penalties, increase shield health/regen, and the energy pulse. This makes it the powerful asset of the mobile shield with increased health while still allowing me to retain some good movement speed and reload speed, as well as being able to detonate it for an oh s**t moment of either being overhwlemed or having my shields taken down somehow.

The Bulwark would probably get decreased damage clip size increase and the energy blast, mainly because I see myself just using this to block enemies and as soft cover I'd like it to last as long as possible. This would give some damn good versatility when defending a position or killing a boss, as soft cover can be invaluable when killing a boss to avoid their strikes quickly, as well as being able to use it to block off access to one area for enemies till they can break through it

And phalanx would probably get radius, stagger, and solidify. For versatility, blocking off enemy fire, and being able to eliminate any enemies that try and come within the shield when I have it up and am locking down a position.

I have to say it took a long time to come up with those powers and I am very proud of them. The idea I was going for was "Come at me, bro." You can take pounding after pounding, and keep kicking.

Your teammates will love you. Yeah, you willl shoot, but mostly you are a walking wall... or two. If your shield starts taking too much damage, hide behind a wall for a bit then wade back into the firestorm.  You might need to stick to ramps should you face a faction that adores sync-kills, but with the amount of damage you can take, you will take SOOO much damage meant for teammates.

I'm going to do something different to Phoenix. I'm going all out fitness, so that I can try out some of the more offensive evolutions of your powers. Bullwark is useful, so I'll put 3 ranks into that. On an already defensive kit, I want to be a bit more offensive.

Cat 6 Specialist Vanguard

Charge: Force and Damage, Weapon Damage, Re-Prime
Targeting Drone: Radius, Force and Damage, Force Damage & Radius
Biotic Blades: Rank 3
Fitness: Health & Shields, Shield Regeneration, Health and Shields
class Training: Weight Capacity, Headshot Damage (Rank 5)

There is little need for the blades. Use drone to prime explosions, then detonate with charge. Blades are handy for those situations when charging is not a good idea.

I took another look at your Vanguard. That drone PRIMES biotic explosions. Then I follow up with a detonating biotic charge that will prime nearby foes. Then I use biotic blades. I can imagine this kit being a real asset to the team.

Cool. I realize that both CAT 6 characters would probably have to be ultra-rare to not completely throw off game balance...

Also, I have contributed one character of each class to this thread. howabout that?
