I agree
I'd feel used if Tali says she had sex before
It'd be MUCH more emotional if it was Tali and Shep's first times
But...Tali's 24. And Shepard's somewhere between 29 and 32 depending on how the Lazarus Project counts.
For either of them to be virgins would be just weird. For both of them to be virgins...that's even more unlikely than Miranda being "perfect".
Well, regardless of what background you pick, Shepard is a high ranking soldier in the Alliance Navy.
Maybe he takes his job seriously, or is too busy for sex.
And as for Tali, I can see her waiting for 'the one' because she's really only allowed to have 1 child and wouldn't just let the first quarian that sees her bear her children.
And 'the one' better be Shepard.

Being human I seriously doubt Shepard was a 29 year old virgin during ME1, he'd probably had sex as a teen as most humans do. Ashley I always felt had had as much sex on her annual leave as possible, whereas we all knew that Liara had never melded with anybody before and so was technically by Asari standards a 106 year old virgin.
Looking at it seriously for ME2, Tali is possibly the only virgin romance available if she's a romance at all. No way Miranda has never had sex at 35 with a body like that, and SuZe seems like a possible nympho as well as psycho. When she's not killing people she's doinking them.

Let's be honest,ever met a 22+yr old virgin???
Didn't think so.
Maybe in this day and age, but there's two facts you're overlooking.
This is the year 2180+, and she comes from a totally different culture where by law you're forbidden from having more than one child, I can't imagine Quarians having sex before marriage just for the fact that they'd risk pregnancy.

Shep was a marine in a co-ed armed forces. He has done the deed. Tali is considered a child in the eyes of her people until after Pilgrimage. But she's been back for 2 years, so who knows.
Westerners are gernerally considered children until they turn 18. But how many Westerners do you think make it to 18 with their virignity intact? In other parts of the world, age of majority is 20 years old, like the Quarians. But those people aren't waiting two decades to lose it either. Being culturally a child does not prevent you from doing the adult things you're physically able to do.

Just to clarify, I'm just throwing stuff out there. I totally believe that Tali is unlikely to be a virgin.

I'm sure that future birth control is rather reliable. And who's to say the quarian outlook on abortion and contraception? Or sexual prudence? Every Saturday might be key-party night on the flotilla.

Come on, we've been around that before. Any society with tight population controls like that is going to have regulated birth control for everyone. To do otherwise would be crazy.
They're a total alien race, you don't know that for fact.
Plus it could be highly looked down on in her culture to have sex before marriage.

It actually seems far more likely to me, to. In a closed enviroment like that, where eveyone is struggling to survive. Seems like there would be a lot of the kind of thing going on.

Now you're projecting human sensibilities onto an Alien race. We've never heard Quarians even mention marriage.

This virgin discussion is a little bit...weird. Just because someone has had sex before you got to know them doesn't make your relationship with them less meaningful. Ugh.
It does put a big damper on it, for me personally.
I guess it comes from having too many cheating ****s for girlfriends.

Even if she is, she won't be available for F/F so you'll never be able to romance her unless you play as a MaleShep.
Xena mentioned awhile ago she had a MaleShep just incase. And really, theres no need to rub it in.

We know there is. You can be faithful to your ME1 LI. And even if
you're not, I fail to see how it's not being handled with "maturity".
Do people not cheat in the real world?
Allow me to rephrase. I hope there's a Paragon way to break up with your first girlfriend. I don't consider it RL sensible or healthy that people string along relationships that aren't working out or don't pursue stronger feelings when they arrive. Saying otherwise is just asinine and has lead to a large number of extremely unhappy relationships.
I'll be disappointed if ME1 tries to portray that somehow there's no way for Shepard to be in love with two people or fall in love with someone after having a relationship with someone else, without being some kind of cheating horndog.
As for Tali, there's plenty of 20+ year old virgins. I was 26 when I lost my virginity. But I don't think it's really important either way.
