Well going back to an earlier point in this discussion (or was it another thread?) I don't think Tali will not get along with a Renegade. Someone was worried that he'd have to be a Paragon to romance her (assuming there is a romance) and I don't think that's necessarily going to be a problem. She is an Admiral's daughter, but let's also not forget how exhilirated she felt by stealing the Normandy. She knows there's protocol but she'll break it if necessary--and get a little thrill out of it in the process.

You're thinking of Pressley.

Nah, Pressley kind of expresses the same feeling but Tali is definitely thrilled with the excitement of it all. It's the same conversation where Shepard suggests her father would get her out of trouble, and she says he'd want to punish them all himself.

What will you do if Tali is not a romance? Hypothetically speaking?

Be horrendously bummed out, and have my Shep remain single once again.

I live about 10 minutes away from bioware HQ....

I also have access to a very large amount of flammable and explosive materials!

I think I would be disappointed but I am looking forward to more than just the romance heh, I think romances are on the smaller side of my list I just like to see the outcomes and the cool places and meeting the new crew. I am all for the new Normandy as well and exploring.

There will be sound and fury.

I will then proceed to romance SuZe, but my enjoyment will be marred.

SuZe will break you in half when she finds out about Tali and Tali will smile as you are broken.....and I will highly approve.

I actually am debating romancing Miranda, breaking up with her, and then romancing Tali.

However, I'm fairly sure my Shepard isn't sufficiently bastard enough to do what I did in Dragon Age.

In Dragon age, you could bang all three back to back. Now that's a party.

I really hope the romances are like in ME1, a slow burn that builds over time and not just something you can unlock quickly by making the right choices.

Probably, it'd feel kind of sleazy too.

Though the ME1 romance WAS pretty weird though.

I'd like it a bit more like Dragon Age where things were obvious when you were flirting.

What, you feel that is more realistic? You don't think if I walked up to a girl, handed her a found cake and some diry pantaloons, she wouldn't go to bed with me?

Same thing I did in ME1. Enjoy the game, but romance nobody and hope for ME3.

Especially since we know they use achievement data as one metric (of many) to determine how the players are playing and enjoying the game. So I'll drag poor Tali all over the galaxy with me and not talk to anyone else just to skew the data. :wizard:

(In a Canadian prison)

Prisoner to guard: "Can I use this exit?"

Guard: "Just be back by bedtime"

Haha! I'll get SuZe/Miranda/Jacob/Thane/Samara killed on purpose then to REALLY mess with the data. xD

I know right, gifts  = sex.

Dragon Age romance was definitely more obvious. Alistair would begin to show his interest in you with cheesy sentiment. Leliana would act a bit flustered. Zevran stared at you luridly (or announced he was) and offered massages. Morrigan would...well, she would feel cold in her tent.

With ME romances it was just...travelling and then you'd go talk to them and they'd say something like "I think there's something between us..." Um. Ok. I dunno, it only made me feel more awkward having to tell Liara I just wanted to be her friend.

Eh, depends on the girl.  In RL, there's a substantial link between gifts and romance.
