I guess the only concern left is keeping her alive.

And making sure she is with us in ME3

Definitely.

I'm going to guess that Tali and Garrus in ME3 will end up as Ashley/Kaidan/Liara have in ME2. LIs that aren't in the squad but hang out elsewhere since they now have extra narrative importance.

Unless BioWare's got another trick up their collective sleeves. Since ME3 will end out the trilogy and they've already said that anything can happen at that point...

- - - - -

Also, I caved and watched the vids (since my primary character's a FemShep). So sweet, so adorable, so damn hot, and so tastefully done. Gonna be worth replaying as a MaleShep now, it'll be fun seeing how it all leads up to those points. Replay value is good. :D

So much <3 for Tali.

One thing I'm surprised there isn't more of a demand for is to see Tali actually use that knife she keeps strapped to her leg. Hopefully, we'll get to see Tali pull it out, sneak up behind a Geth and cut one of those vital-looking wires attatched to its head, then strike a pose and look on as it sputters uncontrollably with sparks flying and falls to the ground, it's head bulb slowly dimming. Insert snappy one-liner for Tali to say here.

Then again, I haven't read all 48 Tali love threads so maybe this topic has been discussed at length.

When you first encounter Tali the dialogue seems kind of... cold.

You mean from that clip where Tali tells Frazza to back down?

I think Liz Sroka did a good job, but shepard seemed a bit cold. I am guessing its because that was from a game he started in Mass Effect 2, not imported. Hopefuly, if we import, it may sound a bit better on Shep's part.

Doubtful that's a lot of dialogue to go back and do twice.

Oh trust me it has been discussed just as about every square inch of her body. In this thread and the previous ones. Some people come up with scary ideas when talking about "The Knife[TM]"...we don't want to go there again...honest.

All I can say to that (the dialog comments above) is, Jennifer Hale for the win.

Any possible romantic feelings aside, you think he'd be happier to stumble across an old comrade-in-arms - especially one so clearly gobsmacked to see him alive.

And, I know this is dumb, but I still haven't totally given up on FemShep Talimance.

Sure, BioWare (I think it was Casey, wasn't it?) said, "We don't do F/F in our games, so there, and by the way Liara doesn't count despite CONSTANTLY being referred to as female in all the background and dialog".

Anyway, I'd like to introduce him to Leliana in Dragon Age. *ahem*

(And I'm sure some enterprising person is going to mod the PC version of ME2 even if only to make video clips of FemShep Talimance... even if it's Mark Meer's voice coming out of FemShep's mouth! Now that would be a little weird...)

Yea, I've heard a few dudes say they play as a femshep just because they don't like maleshep's voice actor.  I never got that vibe on my maleshep playthroughs but for some reason it IS starting to annoy me in some of these videos.  I think because I can't help but compare it to DAO which I thought had stellar voice acting.  Or maybe it's just because the only maleshep you ever see in the official marketing is the douchebag renegade one.  (Sorry to all you non douchebag renegades out there.)

I'm going to guess that Tali and Garrus in ME3 will end up as Ashley/Kaidan/Liara have in ME2.

That would be really disappointing, but I think so.
After two episodes together, players should've become quite affectionate with them. I still feel fuzzy when I think about how Tali was in ME1 and how far things have gone with her, I'd definitely want her in my team - and most of all alive in the end of ME3.

Jesus, sometimes his VA sounds like porn acting.

Hopefuly, if we import, it may sound a bit better on Shep's part.

If BioWare thought about that, they're really awesome. But I doubt it.

I'm a guy who plays a FemShep. True, I'm not too hot on Mark Meer's voiceover, but it's more because Jennifer Hale is so damn good... and also because if I'm going to be staring at someone running around, shooting stuff, talking to people and generally being on-screen for virtually all of a 30+ hour epic of a game, I'd much rather it be a visually appealing FemShep clad in her gloriously fanservice-y armor.

Well, there is that too.:)  I could enter in something here about dude Shep's abs and arms and leaves nothing to the imagination skin tight armor, but I shall refrain.  This is a Talimance thread after all.....Wait....Oops.  Oh well.

I totally agree. I really, really hope to see them as squadmates in ME3, definitely Tali at least, but I'm not yet expecting it.

Tali and Shepard's relationship building through all these stages over two massive games (so far) makes me feel all warm and fuzzy too.

I play female characters on Guild Wars for that reason... the male models are way too gay to get me in character and at this point I'm going for females. ME is obviously different, it's one of the few games (like Planescape Torment) that really had me identify in the character; my custom Shepard has become the only Shepard I can see around without snorting.

Tali and Shepard's relationship building through all these

too.

I think only the James Bond villains would not feel like that when seeing those scenes.

One more funny thing: my FemShep's name is Talia Shepard. I've been using the name Talia on and off for female PCs in WRPGs since at least Daggerfall in '96 - can't even remember where I got the name from now, or even if I made it up myself - and gave Shepard the name long before I even knew there was a character I would meet by the name of Tali.

Tali and Talia. Poetic, isn't it? ;)

Awww :) I can picture that sculpted on tree bark - provided you find one in the ME universe.

I'm playing ME, by the way. Just killing time, but the dialogues with Tali make me giggle - ahhhh those two don't know what's gonna happen :D

If I recall correctly, Tali commented wistfully on the trees in the Citadel Tower. Might get in trouble with C-Sec for vandalism if we carved it there, though.

Heh. "We". Yeah, there's some emotional investment there. <3

or its a good reason to let em die. if its a human empire, there's no way they'd stop Shepard.

"Sooo... we saved the sentient races of the galaxy from extinction (for now), we saved you guys at great cost to my people... I'm just going to show my quarian, um, 'friend' here what a tree looks like close-up OH GOD LOOK OVER THERE"

Tali pulls out The Knife™, and swiftly and skilfully carves 'Tali <3 Talia' into the bark.
