Yea I try to encourage him to start a youtube channel.

Youtube is tough work. Sadly there is not much I can do on my gaming channel since PC MP is dead, doing work on my other one for now.

You didnt spend half the match shooting your gun into the sky like a recent pug. L2P mega, that is the only way to kill things with the juggernaut.

Its pretty much a vid version of the large thread you made before, and I approve. The fitness 6b thing is up to taste. I dun like using cyclonics or shield power cells on him all the time, and prefer using geth scanner over defensive gear, so I take the 6b fitness to make up for using less defense-oriented equips. Since it also makes the Hex shield stronger, ya can build that differently too, if ya like.

For ref, a good SP power build would be something like:

HS - 4b, 5b, 6a (the shield, when not used for cover, can instead be plopped down somewhere for a 10% dmg buff, and duration makes you have to renew it less, which is good cause you want to maximize cds used in SP renews; alternative is taking the shock evo for setting up TBs, but I dun count on being close enough to make use of it constantly)

SP - 4a or b, 5a, 6a (4th rank is up to you; I'd take radius for gold and lower cause it helps it hit dodging or packed mobs more, but damage is prob better for Plat; 6b is too marginal a dmg increase to be worth it since its bugged to be only a 40% boost- better to have the extra charge and more DR)

Turret - 3 ranks, mostly for ally shield restore
Training- 4b, 5a (maxing power dmg)
Fitness - 4b, 5b, 6a or b (if pugging, forgo Squad Command and put more in the turret or training if ya dun want the 15% dmg hit)

Good weapons are the Talon (good at ammo priming), Hurricane, BPE for long-range playstyles, and CSMG if ya dun wanna visit ammo crates. All can carry power amp mods and keep the cd low. Can bring a 2nd weapon like Piranha, Wraith, Lancer, Indra, Harrier, Reegar, Valiant, or Mattock for more versatility, depending on what pistol or smg ya chose as your SP spamming weapon.

Equips can be power amps, power efficiencies, adren mods, defense stuff, w/e. Ya have a good variety of options that work depending on ur setup. Good on a team of tech primers, but can do fine alone w/ priming ammo too.

Wouldn't say such a build is better than a heavy weapons one, but it works pretty well and is good for a mix of damage and control.

I said it on the video, and I'll say it again. Skipping 6b is a bad call. The passives more than make up for it. I kill things quickly and am able to tank while having his maximum shields. Don't skip 6b in Fitness.

Shield gear makes 6b redundant... and no 15% GLOBAL damage loss is incurred. That's the most unacceptable part of 6B... weapons, powers, melee... all gimped. No thanks.

Nice guide, I agree with you Mega, the 6b perk is completely overkill in terms of survivability and ruins your damage output/ability to score on Platinum.

The only difference is that I prefer to invest 3 points in the shield and 5 in the turret since I find the shield quite situationnal.

With a Reegar & the ability to kill bosses in two clips, a Juggernaut using your build on Plat should NEVER find himself cornered by 2 brutes/2banshees + ravagers on the back like you always see PuGs do.

Damage output is king on Platinum.

I used to use the turret, I don't anymore so I use a 6/6/0/6/6 build. Actually I took mega's recommendation on that one, to use the hex shield (not to omit the turret thoroughly, but I adopted not using it to the way I play it) and use a siege pulse/shield as my CQC choices. As described above, its awesome for mobs and will obliterate even Phantoms (don't know how many in total but Ive bottlenecked a handful of Phantoms and Dragoons with it and none of them walked out alive after 4 pulses) with just a couple of pulses when they walk through it. Incendiary ammo is why I love the Spitfire on him. You can just stand, spray and explode all the things.

If I don't have to, I avoid CQC like the plague and keep moving from soft cover to soft cover. SA and target prioritization (which I don't know if mega mentioned) is something learned and not simply taught in a video, which is one of the reasons I cant stand when people use carbon copy builds they see in videos. Setup may be awesome, but if you suck at the game, you suck at the game.

The build is easy to execute... put down the shield and shoot stuff with a rifle while using RHA.

When things get close to you, LOLreegar.

If your shields get below half and enemies are close, melee then lolReegar.

If your shields get low and the enemies are far, put down the shield and hide behind it for a few seconds.

Gallows: Why do you avoid CQC like the plague on a tank? You'd be better served playing several other... nevermind... I don't want to know.

Interesting. I would prefer the PPR/Hurricane combo to a Reegar/Lancer combo for the lower CD. This way, I can pop the turret every few seconds for a fast shield recharge.

Hide behind the shield and keep shooting... this is my preferred way to recharge shields.

Those a great weapon choices though.

What can I say, great, comprehensive guide, easy to listen to. Nicely done megabeast.
You explain all your choices and this is definitely a good build for all difficulties.

Also props to caineghis for making it happen and sharing this, editing and gameplay. Good effort man.
Even though this must be the single worst intro in the history of gameplay videos.

I tank just fine. Nowhere is it written you need to be up close and personal. All you need to do is draw agro and kite them away. Ill draw Brutes and Banshees, for example, by giving them a target and kite them away from the team, backpedal, and kill. Serves two purposes. I get to execute them, and team doesn't worry about them. Scions Ill hunt down to get close to them and just riddle the dopey hump off him. Far better than killing from range.

I don't know.....works very well for me in the PUG world!!

I didn't know that about SP 6b... thanks!

Yeah I tried the Seige Pulse Spam build with a light weapon... it's quite powerful. I enjoyed it.... not really good enough on Plat IMO... but it's another good way to build this guy. Have you tried him with the Batarian Gauntlet.... hatesurfing with Siege Pulse? Ohhh the lulz!!

The shield is quite situational... there are entire waves I don't feel the need for it... but on 3, 6 and 10... it's worth it on those waves alone. It is simply the greatest thing ever for hideous Platinum hacks/escorts if you know how/where to place it. It can even makes London hacks bearable. Also good for RHA vs long range enemies, if no good RHA is available.

Agree that damage output is king... pretty much always. The only thing that can rival it in terms of importance is fun.

Also agree that using LOLreegar makes it so he never gets run up on by too much, thus negating the need to tank, also negating the need for 6b.

Well done and very logical. I've played with some very good juggers and some bad ones, they can be a huge addition to the team or a bane. (Bane as in a group last night in which the two juggers refused to get into the hack circle while myself and another player kept getting our faces shot off.)
