still surprises me how people see the quarian marksman. These numbers make me think people don't really know how to use the class

He is a good kit, but the only thing he does better than the TSol is dodging, as a weapon platform the TSol does more damage with far higher stability, allowing him to take the RoF evo in marksman so he can rock with a smg/assault rifle and while using a 'sniper' shotgun. There is barely any reason to take the QM over the TSol, which is just dissapointing.

I don't think people know what 'powers synergy' means.

It was power combination/synergy actually, probably because some kits don't necessarily have the best synergy between powers but the individual powers had their own individual uses.

This is wrong. With Tac Scan the QMS does more single target weapon damage than the TSol. The quick CD of Tac Scan makes it 'synergize' very well with MM, whereas on the TSol PM is really only useful for CC. The cooldown really mitigates its' usefulness as a debuff.

You are right, I am wrong >_<
I went back and calculated it all up, with skills, debuffs and consumables(minus ammo powers, because for some reason narida doesn't have those) the QMS does more damage in an perfect situation(ie a clean headshot).
However, if it's a body shot, the TSol does more damage.

In the long run though the TSol still does it better because you can set up a proxy mine in a choke point and start shooting with full MM on as soon as you see them(also the proxy mine animation is very fast which makes up for the longer CD). Not to mention the huge difference in stability means that perfect headshot scenario is far easier for the TSol with pretty much any weapon, even an SMG or shotgun.

*edit* also thanks to the base weight bonus of the TSol the MM CD is faster than a QM with the same loadout.

So out of the 6 favorite kits 3 are human from Earth DLC and 3 are geth with hunter mode. Interesting, though most of the answers reflect my own opinions, I can't say I'm dissapointed.

The BSN has spoken!

Interesting info and good job compiling it.  Thanks for that. I'd hate for the the devs to make decisions based on some of that info, but I think it's interesting to know what peoples opinions are.

Fascinating, and thanks for all your hard work!

I wonder if there's any inter-class comparisons possible - is the least popular infiltrator bettter perceived than an average vanguard kit, for example?

Thanks.... Actually it was one of the things that I was initially interested in doing, but unfortunately there is only so much one can do with the "free account" limitations on these websites (no data download, only manual collation) so I eventually had to drop the idea....

Well, this is the definitive proof that most of bsn doesn't know what they're talking about. Interesting survey, thanks for it OP.

This makes no sense at all...the TSol has a higher headshot damage modifier and should make up ground on headshots, not lose it.

A QMS with Tac Scan active and consumables has a damage modifier of 2.31. TSol is 2.19 with the PM debuff.

Here's the thing about debuffs on marksman kits: they're completely unnecessary against mooks. And higher headshot modifiers don't matter when you've got a 50% RoF boost; whether you're playing the TSol or the QMS, if you shoot little guys in the head they're going to go down in a couple tenths of a second, whether they're debuffed or not. The difference between the two kits in terms of time-to-kill mooks is neglible

So the only place the debuff matters is against bosses, and the QMS has the clear advantage in that regard because not only is his damage modifier higher, but he can get to optimal damage output sooner because the cooldown on Tac Scan is so short.

[edit] once MM is activated, the QMS is basically doing 20% more damage than a TSol...not insignificant

Also, the tac scan lasts for 26 seconds leaving ample time for marksman to be used. Whereas as the long cooldown and a mere 8 second duration on proxy mine debuff means that by the time marksman is applied there will be very little time left on proxy mine debuff.

Moreover that tac scan's outline on the enemy makes that enemy a prime target for other players who think: "oh look that banshee is debuffed. let me shoot that"
