They're blowing everything out of the water. I won't say any more for fear that they'll all swoop down upon me (Cue Alistair quote.), but it does seem like they're taking this a bit out of hand. I mean, I know I wouldn't have been THAT upset had she been a romance and Garrus not. I'd be sad, yeah, but he wasn't a LI in the first game, either. Did that stop me? Nope.

I think it's more a case of not having any non-heterosexual options than specifically not having Samara. I'd think straight femshep-people would be upset to the degree that these people are currently upset if femshep had no straight LIs whatsoever, imo.

Question: For those of you that romanced Kaidan or Liara in ME1, will you be cheating with Garrus on that playthrough, or making a single shep for the purpose of not cheating?

Edit: For us lucky souls who romanced Kaidan instead of Liara, I took a quick trip to Virmire to get rid of the potential problem of "cheating." That said, I'm making two saved games with my main FemShep. One with Kaidan alive, and one with him ... not alive.

I, for one, will do a faithful to Kaidan playthrough first. I am worried about the lack of info concerning Kaidan though, haven't seen a glimpse of him yet. I have a Sheppard waiting for the ME2 LI's though, who didn't romance Kaidan

I'm single, actually. Because of a lack of good romance options -- Sorry, Kaidan, but just because you punched out Vyrrnus doesn't net auto-win...unfortunately. -- I stayed single throughout. Typically I end up killing off Kaidan, but I did...

Seriously, though; single, not just because Garrus was lacking a female companion with which to share the Mako's backseat, but because, honestly..Liara dulled me, and Kaidan made me want to punch a kitten. No offense to the VA, but they need to put his VA to someone badass! Like, a Vorcha.

In my playthroughs Kaidan will have additional reason to hate Turians. And Drells.

Anything added to Kaidan's personality would gladen me if it were good; I'd like the PM as well.



For now, though; Garrus will be the first romance I will undergo! The rest will follow. Eventually.

Is anyone else now going to have trouble romancing Thane? Ha, I'm going to keep going back to Garrus in all of my playthroughs. Thane is going to have to wait till like the 6th. Maybe not because every time I look at Garrus or hear his voice, I'll go for him again.

I think the same is going to happen to me. Unless I create a femshep I'm not very attached too, wich isn't very easy, because Jennifer Hale makes her so likeable in all cases! 

Maybe my first playthrough, the first femshep I played, because i took many decissions that didn't work out as I wanted. And she romanced Kaidan, wich I don't care about. So she'll probably forget him and go for Jacob. He seems like a cool guy, and they could make a nice couple.

I'm going to have trouble with Thane, because both Jacob and Garrus are so much more appealing. I'll probably do it once, just for completion sake, like I did with Ashley, but that's it.

Sweet Turian love for most other playthroughs.
