From what I've seen, yeah, he's more confident, but he's still that adorable younger guy that he was in the first game. Just more sure of himself, which can certainly happen after all he's been through.

Whut?  People are complaining about this? Admittedly, I've only seen one scene of the romance (saving the rest for when I actually play), but what I saw was better than I could have ever hoped for. I thought they stayed incredibly true to his character, and there were some deliciously awkward moments remeniscent of the "krogan testicles" thing in ME1. I agree that I would feel disappointed if a romance made his character do a complete 180, but from what I saw, he's still Garrus even when trying to do pillow talk.

Eh?  I haven't gotten this vibe at all.  Everything I've seen seemed completely in character for him.

I haven't either, but I've seen murmurs of discontent. Everyone should just keep confident when it comes to BioWare. They'll handle things well. Garrus is their character, after all.

I think it's because everyone was expecting to find the same exact character. Slightly unsure of himself, over eager, and very young feeling. He's still GARRUS, but he's not Garrus from ME1. Not 100%. He's.. a bit ****sure when it comes to OTHER women, but he still seems to be more than a little shy around Shepard, which is what matters.

I love that moment of silence right after he said it, and then him realizing what he just said. Poor Garrus, he's trying to be suave but failing.
