Thanks. I hate to ask this again, but (without spoiling of course) could anyone tell me if the Garrus romance is a "friends with benefits" relationship only, because I'm worried about what I've seen so far.

To answer your question my Garrus is a Paragon, there's something scary about letting an armed-to-the-mandibles turian into the galaxy on his lonesome as a Renegade. I mean look at Saren. Imagine him being the main villain in ME2:

Garrus: At last after two years of searching for the ultimate weapon, I'll extract my revenge on everybody that called me a hothead.

Shepards comes through the door unexpectedly: GARRUS!

Garrus: Shepard, I thought you were dead...*looks at superweapon* I swear, it's not what it looks like.

Shepard: Save it! Do you know what I went through to get to you. I had to kiss a batarian, save an entire colony from a hundred mutated chihuahuas, I had to sleep with the turian chancellor just to tell me where to find you, but that's not the worst of it. Do you know how many ELEVATORS I had to climb to get here?!?

Think of it as a naturally evolving relationship. In ME1 you started out as strangers, became acquaintances, became friends/comrades. In ME2, you are friends and then can become romantically involved...but it's a young romance. In ME3, I'm sure the relationship will evolve and deepen even more. I actually like this progression; it seems more natural.

Is it possible that the *true* romance scene is a result of specific dialogue combination, i mean just today i read that you can bed the Consort if you choose a specific dialogue?

My Garrus was all Renegade. My FemShep kinda rolls that way (though it's more of half and half with renegade being a bit higher in my latest playthrough).

I always paragon Garrus in most of my playthroughs, because I find that the friendship between Shepard and Garrus are strong. It's like they're developing the relationship in the beginning like they're becoming close to each other throughout the events up to ME2. My FemShepard shows that she actually cares for him anyways.

 Is anyone left who hasn't seen or watched any spoilers?  Because I feel kinda alone in here. It's a very strange thing, like you are all talking about a fanfiction, not actually something REAL, something that's actually in the game...

I guess I didn't imagine the moment of "the reveal" like this. I mean, the confirmation. And, instead of being a simple moment of squeeness, it's been a gradual process of speculation, rumours and pm's.

I still can't... believe it.

I made him renegade on my femShep. And, on my male Shep, I made him paragon. I prefer keeping Garrus as he is when you first meet him, which is renegade. I loved being able to agree with him on everything, since it was how my Shepard felt, as well.
His vigilante style of kicking butt and telling the rules to shove it makes me grin.
