I really loved Garrus's new personality and stuff. I especially enjoyed his new look after the whole shooting...but his romance was severely disappointing. I mean, Miranda and Suze had big romance scenes. All Garrus has is foreheads connecting! I was highly irritated....I had hoped it wouldn't be a talk it out scenario.

I saw all vids of possible romances and Kaiden ones... Doh I am in big problems now and doubts. Thane romance impressed me alot. Kaiden lol they improved him xD. Haven't got game yet, hope in these days I ll decide about romance or if not then atleats during the playing but afraid not. And agree with Sunflower Samurai I was abit irritated and sad aswell and more when I saw breaking vid.That one is really...But still like Garrus ...phhh doh...wow can't believe, this is like it matters of life or death and it is just a damn game o.O. I must relax 2 days left...breath deeply

Fiiinally, I beat the game! Garrus is good to team up with Ash, and they're surprisingly pleasant to each other. Even though he's paragon now, he's still very...Renegade-y in his responses, and seems to like putting me under pressure to admit that paragon doesn't always work. Also, although his best weapon was a sniper rifle, he seemed to enjoy whipping out his assault rifle and shooting alongside Ash. Of course, my running into him frantically when husks would show up didn't help. :x



Now onto 2! And don't forget to come back to Garrus Chat so we can all gossip about what's happening in our games! Or else I'll make Jacob salute you guys to death D:

I dont know if this has it's place here, but i've made a video about garrus/femshep (using cutscenes from ME 2 so beware : some spoilers). I really love garrus, so this is my contribution to the garrus love thread lol.



By the way I'm Ritalove and I'm french (you dont know me but i do, I've been lurking since the firs garrus thread )



That said, I really hope that we can continue Garrus romance in ME3, and I hope (no ==>demand z: ) more love interaction (hug, caressing [not necessary ubersexual]) and also MORE DIALOGUEs with Garrus, and more choice when responding.

Really?  I was disappointed with Miranda and Renegade!SuZe's romance scenes, and Jacob's as well.  I thought the other romances, which were either "talk it out" in Garrus and Tali's cases or simply less explicit with Paragon!SuZe and Thane, were more powerful exactly because they relied more on dialogue and emotion than physical action to convey the feelings between the characters.  A fully animated sex scene does not make a romance--hell, Zevran's achievement in DA:O is called "easy lover" for a reason.  You can get him into bed very early on, but the actual emotional, meaningful romance doesn't come along until much later.

Though I have to admit that while I found the forehead touch extremely cute and squee-inducing, I would've at least liked a kiss or a hug.  Meh.  One small nitpick in a very tastefully handled romance.

Just an honest question.

I have, actually   It's done quite often in fanfiction for Garrus and Shepard, and I like it a lot.  Like I said, I think Garrus's romance, talk-it-out format and fade to black and all, is one of the more meaningful and powerful romances in ME2.  However, humans express affection in particular ways too.  And the human in me just wants to glomp Garrus

Though... how exactly do I start the romance? He talked to me after I got him and now he won't say much else (and I've already gotten Jack and Mordin). Sadface. Speaking of Jacob, does anyone know if we can choose dialogue options that aren't flirty? I mean, I've talked to the guy maybe 3 times and on the 3rd conversation he goes from discussing trust  to "well we aren't in the alliance anymore shepard, so there's no problem with fraternization".
He's too freakin' fast, and my Femshep's not interested, except I don't seem to have the option of telling him so.

With Jacob, there actually is a "you don't want to be friends?" dialogue option. I chose that.

Being that I am a Heterosexual Male I can not LOVE Garrus but he definitely is my BEST friend in the game from ME1 to ME2, he is with me regardless of the mission. I like is personality and he is proven in combat. I miss Wrex as his team mate, and this new Krogan is an absolute 1 Delta 10 Tango, however Garrus seems to be just a little bit more Bad Ass in this one, just wish there is something I could do for him after you recruit him (if you have gotten that far yet). Hooah!

I would like to thank all the fellow fans- without the collective effort Garus would've probably never been romanceable!

Agreed.

I also thought the moment where FemShep softly touched Garrus' scarred face, and he leaned in against her palm was completely! adorable. Definitely worth any trouble of getting there.

Does Garrus ever say anything else after you agree to do that thing before the end? I mean, are there any conversations left to have with him now that all he says is that he still thinks we're crazy for thinking about doing it?



I don't think I'm even close to the end, but I'd like to hear more from Garrus.

I am sooooo so happy that Garrus is an option now. I'm fifteen hours into the game though and he is VERY tight-lipped. Whenever I try to talk to him, he's just "Nope. Calibrations!" I've heard there's a special mission for him later... I figure I just have to wait it out. I've finished my first set of dossiers and now have those missions for Jacob and Miranda. But still, he's so quiet. Did I mess something up really early on? Can I not romance him anymore? Or does Garrus just say the same stuff over and over until you progress further into the game? Maybe I just haven't played enough ME2 yet.

Garrus loooooove. Love love love.

Maybe Bioware didn't feel like making the scene too graphic because they had NO IDEA how to animate him. The logistics of it might have been weird. Y'know, all the... pointy-ness.

So that I won't feel left out in what was going on. I must say that I'm quite glad to find out that Garrus is a romance option, which I've been dying for since the first game. (About time I say!).

It seems that a nice percentage of girls who played (or saw) enough of this Mass Effect game would prefere to mary a Turian better than a human, if reality could provide them this option. Something that amazes me.

About the love scene with Garrus ,the head counter head was appreciable, mais un coup de boule aurait été encore plus excitant.

Maybe in ME3 you'll will see him naked.

Okay, I got Mass Effect 2 and I've been romancing Garrus!!! He's adorable! I love that, along with the level in badass everyone Shepard knew in Mass Effect seems to have taken, he also took a level in snark!! He's my permanent party member because 1) Shepard trusts him the most out of any of the crew, 2) he can take down any mechs like WHOA, 3) Headshot, 4) THE DEADPAN SNARK!!!!

Garrus is pretty much the most amazing romance ever. I *really* hope BioWare continues their friendship/relationship in the third one, or at least gives it a good ending. But I have a feeling that tragedy is going to follow them...maybe it's that giant imposing wave of reapers?

This Thread is weird beyond measure...and here i thought the Alistair worship on the DAO forums was extreme.



Anyway, Garrus is still my favourite male Character (especially since Wrex is unavailable). Easily the only one i'd trust to watch my back. Somehow the ME1 Characters grew even more on me in ME2, while i hardly give a damn about most of the new ones. Give me Garrus & Tali alone in ME3 and i'd be content. Wouldn't mind adding Wrex and a Krogan army though

See, the difference is that unlike Alistair, once you land Garrus's loyalty and love, he's Shepard's man until the end  Come death, hell, high water, or a legion of giant evil cephalopod machines, he stands by Shepard.  And Garrus certainly wouldn't subvert his relationship with Shepard over social expectations.  *glares meaningfully at Alistair*

I want, for ME3, an ubercrew of my ME1 crew, ME2 crew, and maybe a few extras, along with a giant army of krogan, rachni, and god knows what else against the Reapers.
