You know you've been on the Garrus thread too long when you can instantly hear his voice in your head when reading fanfiction, flanging and all. Is it just me or is discussing Greek mythology not the most romantic thing ever. You people are making me ashamed of my total lack of artistic talent

You're making me awfully curious about what my teachers do in their spare time. ;]Rioteous wrote...
I love being a professor. I can do all my course prep in advance of the 26th and then, even more cruelly, I get to tell my students that the short essays they turn in on the 26th won't get handed back until the following Tuesday class. That would give me an entire week and weekend of ME2 gaming(and a free Tuesday evening and all of Wednesday) with teaching on Tuesday and Thursday. Grading can therefore wait till Sunday or Monday.
So, so evil.
And I owe it all not to Mass Effect 2, but to Garrus specifically >

That was fantastic. I think you got down their relationship perfectly. ;]
You're a fantastic writer. You should think about it professionally, lest you already have of course.

Great to hear, way too much writing talent in you to waste it not writing.Calla S wrote...

Oh, there will definitely be more! I can't get my Garrus/Shepard muse off my back to save my life. He's so much fun to write. If I do get something done, I'll be sure to post it here and at the Garrus fan group.

I've seen very little to no trolls in the Garrus threads, even tho Garrus has about as many fans. I'm just wondering why that is.
I've always had a sneaking suspicion that the (presumably) uneven female to male ratio of posters here had something to do with that. I'm probably wrong, but either way, it's alot more enjoyable here.Deviija wrote...

I think it is because we don't antagonize the trolls that come into the thread(s). In the Tali thread, people get angryface and like to yell. Here, we just point and lol and shrug it off, and that seems to diffuse the situation. After all, it isn't much fun for a troll if he/she can't rile up half a dozen people with their comments and turn a thread into a flamefest.Just another reason WHY I like the Garrusfans/Garrusthreads and actually do spend time posting in them. Much more peaceful.

While I'm totally rooting for Tali too I can't really be bothered with the thread anymore, since aside from the trolls there's alot of overall negativity going around about the game in general. Of course it could just be me.

BW has done soooooooooooo much teasing for it to not happen. If Garrus is not a LI, then BW has officially become very cruel in my book.

An observation...
Have you noticed how Garrus' frame has been tweaked in ME2? How he's a bit more filled out and not as "alien-ish" as he was in ME1? I especially noticed it with his legs/feet and how they and his proportions are more "human-ish" than they were in ME1, but really his whole frame has been tweaked subtlely (in addition to updating textures, etc.). Watch the Omega vid and that shot where he's in a group with Miranda and Tali. You'll notice it better there.
Whoa, I never realized that until you mentioned it! I went looking for examples, and it's really clear that they've altered his model in a few ways.
If anyone else is interested~
Here is Garrus in Mass Effect 1, and this is what he looks like in Mass Effect 2.
His calves are a lot bulkier. Nom.
