That is the GREATEST mental image ever. Garrus in his new digs on Omega between sniping mercs, pacing around, trying to figure out what to call himself.
It's the idea that he probably didn't come up with it himself that makes it that much hotter. I mean, he'd have to kill a lot of mercs or do something really spectacular in order to garner the renown to have his OWN alias besides "that one turian who worked with Shepard that one time." Plus, "Archangel" seems to have a lot of weight to it. I mean, they were some of the highest ranking angels.
I like the idea that it's an alias given to him by those on Omega, but it's possible he assumed the alias (by preference or because he's working for someone under that code-name).
Archangels aren't considered the highest ranking angels, however; that would probably be those of the first hierarchy, the Seraphim, Cherubim, and Thrones (nearest God in proximity). Archangels belong to the third hierarchy but are set above angels. Principalities are set over archangels and those three round out the third hierarchy (furthest from God in proximity).
On that note, again, I don't know that Garrus would have given himself such a name. From what I understand, the turians would not likely have a concept of "Angel," or divine messenger, as their "religion" isn't a religion so much as a philosophy that there is a spirit imbuing all things (not "spirit" in the sense of something "living" or "self-aware" so much as an idea/ideal of an idea [Plato's Forms, if you will]). Not to say Garrus himself might not have taken up a different religion, but I just don't see that as being the case.
Granted, perhaps he came across human literature and fancied the representation of an Archangel and gave himself that name.

Again, though, I doubt he gave it to himself. ^^
