Well, I guess because most of those out there wouldn't romance him in the first place. XD That whole "I wouldn't want to romance him, therefore he shouldn't be an option/should only be a talk-it-out option."

Yeah I think some people will be very angry if Garrus is romanceable, particularly the female gamers who want a lesbian love interest.



It's just my opinion that a romance will Garrus would be much more conflicted and meaningful than a typical asari/female pairing again...if it was Samara I'd be fairly disappointed.

I sincerely believe it's more than 3 LI's due to Casey's words in the live chat where female gamers would have Jacob and Thane "and some other surprises," which indicates more than 3 (a number which he also admitted could be a mistake).

I would be glad if any romance is deeper than the one in ME1. There it is a lot like: " tell me something about you!" " I love you!" " Allllriiighht"

Partly a reason why I liked to talk to Garrus and why he is so awesome.

Female gamers who want a lesbian love interest have no cause for complaint whatsoever, as far as I'm concerned. They had their fun in ME1, now it's our turn. I also completely agree about Samara -- she seems like an interesting enough character, but as a romance? No. Been there, done that with the femShep/asari thing.

I agree; I want a turn with Garrus! That said, I think Samara's definitely in as well...I'm very confident we have 4 LI's per gender, not counting the extraneous consort-type ones. ^^

I also don't unterstand why some people think that the creation of Thane would lessen the demand for Garrus.

Exactly! Thane is a drell assassin, and Garrus is not only a friend from the first game, but a turian ex-cop. There is a biiiiig difference. We want Garrus, not some substitute.

I guess they think one should exclude the other; I worried about that at first as well, but there's been too much circumstantial "stuff" from the devs for me to believe that's so. ^^ Really, Thane seems like a middleground for laides wanting the malienmance, but not ready for the alienness of Garrus (although it does appear they've tweaked Garrus' frame to give him more humanish proportions).

And really, I've been calling for Garrus, not "any other random malien."  Why would I jump ship when it's Garrus, his personality and character and (OMG*DROOL*) voice and everything, I've been wanting? XD
