It'll be awesome to see him matured a bit. :]Chassthemighty wrote...
I know, right? I'm especially glad to have him as he is now, because in Mass Effect 1, while Garrus was Jack's (My Shepard) best friend, it was more of a "Let me show you the ropes" kind of thing. For example, let's say I were to have popped a sniper round into a Krogan's face in Mass Effect 1. Garrus would have said "Excellent shot Commander, think you can show me how to do it?" In Mass Effect 2, Garrus will say "Decent shot Shepard. I'll bet you a beer I can do better."
And maybe taking a few beers, haha.

Mmmm he lacked a bit of confidence in the first game. I really liked him, he felt realistic. I really wanted to give him advice on how things worked outside C-Sec (which was actually what made him kind of "green"). Now he's gone far on that path and he's an equal to Shepard. I think he's the most well-written character so far, his evolution is absolutely believable and natural. You can actually recognize him not just because of the voice or the 3d model. Tali's script is excellent too, but not as good as Garrus'.MarginalBeast wrote...
Oldish teenager? Haha, I should hope not! I always got the impression that he was in his mid-20's in the first Mass Effect anyway.

Keep Garrus and all the delicious info that will be coming along soon in your thoughts; your day should fly right by!

Yay! We get to eat up most of your time until you get the game. :3 I look forward to it immensely, bahaha.
It really is. Except that I've been taking along Garrus every time, which makes it... more interesting. I just finished Feros, and I'm on my way to Virmire. It's a pain, since this is my third round with Calla. Oy. <_<

The things I do. Really.
@real1dark1purple: Trying to get her to 60 and the completionist achievement! Since... I am a major slacker who hates driving the Mako... and hasn't gotten it yet.

Heheh, don't be surprised.
I'm jealous, though...I need to get two more out of the way to cover all three Garrus personalities. T-T
I don't know how on earth I'll accomplish that in the time left, except to skip every crate and fly through on "Casual" setting.

Third? *scoffs* That's nothing. I've played through with Philo(mena) Shepard at least close to 6-7 times by now.

I'm not there yet, I'm looking at playthroughs. The game is structured very similarly to ME, but it's more flexible. From what I've seen so far, recruiting missions can each take an hour or so if you run through them, which is VERY unlikely since this time information is important. You can take a lot of choices, I mean big choices, which can ease the mission or turn it into a nasty guerrilla scenario... so it's hard to tell. I can PM you something (a little bit) spoilish if you wish.MarginalBeast wrote...Hey poisonoustea, can you answer something for me? About how long is each recruitment mission? Just curious. I hope that doesn't count as spoilers.

Exactly, I love the back-to-back badasses vibe that I'm getting from Shepard and Garrus in ME2. Garrus seems to have matured a lot in two years, and I can't wait to see how this has changed him.
By the way, won't it be a bit awkward for your Shep to be named Jack when SuZe's real name is Jack as well?

No that's okay, I don't want spoilers, not even little ones. I was just wondering how much of the game is going to be spent recruiting people. Seems like it'll be a fair amount if each recruitment mission can take over an hour. Thanks for the info!

Garrus certainly has matured, speaking as someone who's seen the entirety of his recruiting venture, which seems to take about 2 hours or so, assuming you do everything available there is to do.
I think the thing I really like about Garrus is that, while he might not have originally given off that "I'm too cool" vibe that Thane does (And let me tell you, Garrus certainly does now), he was one of the few characters that really felt like he had a soul. I could really sympathize, and be friends with Garrus. And now that Garrus has graduated for the Mass Effect 2 School of Badassness , I have a feeling he and I are going to get into some very cool, and very hilarious shenanigans.

I'm going for Soldier, and I'm getting my old team back. Garrus and Tali. I really couldn't ask for more in this gameChassthemighty wrote...
I know a guy who has a copy. I wont say who, obviously, and I REFUSED to be there... Right up until he mentioned Archangel >_>... I was out of my door so fast I don't think it even opened. I stayed juuuuust long enough to watch Garrus' mission before I was out the door again, though I really must say, Vanguard + Garrus = You better run, far, far away.

That sentence excites me, hahah. My main FemShep is a Vanguard, and while I was iffy about keeping her that way, I'm pretty sure you just refilled my optimisim. Is it Tuesday yet?
