Hello all!
First of all: i have the trilogy edition, on origin platform.
This thinbg is real weird: texmod works correctly for mass effect 1 and 3, but it doesn't work for mass effect 2. I created the .bat files for all three games. In ME1 and ME3, texmod loads up correctly and loads up packages correctly.
In mass effect 2, it doesn't. I created the .bat file the same way i did for the other 2 games, texmod opens up, i link the .exe file, then i re-rename all the files, load up the packages, and start the game, but mods don't load up, the game runs normally, like if i didn't use texmod.
What am i doing wrong? Is this a bug? Is there a fix?
Thanks for the help
Can't use TEXMOD on Mass Effect 2

Texmod doesn't always work on non-DirectX 9 systems. There's a texmod package from the new Tomb Raider that has the registry files to help you get around this, and allows you to reregister DX11 once done.
Barring that, try using the mods that utilize an "override" directory, if there are any.

I'm fairly sure that ME2 is DX9, especially since other people can use TexMod with it without problems.
@Vertrix: So you've got it on Origin huh? From what I hear that actually uses an executable "ME2Game.exe" to run the game and "MassEffect2.exe" is just a launcher. You could test it by launching the game alt-tabbing out and checking with task manager what process is running. If so, you just need to use the "ME2Game.exe" with TexMod and the batch files.
The other option is that you can skip TexMod and use ME3Explorer to permanently replace the textures in the game files.

Mmh, thanks salt, im gonna try it....the weird thing is that texmod runs correctly with mass effect 1 and 3......only mass effect 2 causes problems...

^Which is exactly why I would suspect it's the name of the process that's the problem.

Yeah, that was it....the .exe that i had to use was ME2Game.exe and not MassEffect2.exe...
Thanks for the tip!

Thank you so much, I've been trying to figure out how to get my texmod to work for hours now... I did the whole origin work around but I was using the MassEffect2 executable instead of the ME2Game executable. only because I happened to stumble across this thread while looking for a solution was I able to figure it out. so truly, thank you for answering my problem. even if you this is from over a year ago haahah
