Can someone plz explain what was so wrong with da2 combat??

I don't think there was much wrong with it other than the complete loss of the tactical element that made Origins so good. That and completely throwing the baby out with the bath water by simplifying absolutely everything to the point that the game became a mindless button masher.

DA2 was bad. Absolutely everything from what I've mentioned to the reused environments to the garbage story. The game was just bad.

If you're talking about the normal attacks you could of gone into menu and pushed the turn on auto-attack option. 

PC version natually has the auto- attack on.

For me the combat in DA2 is too fast. I ended up having to pause every other second to issue commands to the party. I think having more weaker enemies in DA2 also added to this annoyance of constantly pausing. What i like about DA:O's combat is that i can pause and issue commands and sit back and watch these commands being played out.

I have the same problem with speed in DA:O as well when i used the haste spell. That is why i never use it in DA:O. Unfortunately there is no option to slow down the combat in DA2.

Well just set your tactics right and i didnt have to micromanage at all.
