I really hope they give us more hairstyles to choose from, and less giraffe-necks.

Oh thank god someone else noticed how long-necked the female character models are, Especially if you make a character w/ short hair

Here's Burkhard Shepard.  Earthborn, Ruthless, Vanguard.
He's about 30% Renegade, 5% Paragon right now, I think?

The first picture is a bit blurry (darn you Xbox!), but I rather fancy his look.  Only attractive male Shepard I've been able to make, and I'm rather proud of him.

Casey Hudson Shepard?

I think the issue with so many female Shepards looking so similar stems from the use of the default nose and not changing the face structure. The shape of a character’s face can drastically change the proportions of all the other parts upon it and allow for some truly unique creations.

Also, while this is an assumption, I believe that with a large percentage of ME players being male, when they go to create a female avatar they’re more inclined to create a female character that matches their notion of female beauty, which just happens to be a pervasive aesthetic within their society.

i just found out that everytime i try to build a good looking one with the default face structure they turn out fugly.

the best face structures seem to be the 2 from the left corner and the standard eyes are pretty bad compared to other options.

Eh, well I always use default Male Shep... but I need to do 1 more playthrough as a male so I'll probably make my own custom ones ^^. I do however have 2 custom femsheps:

Elektra Shepard:

Alexis Shepard:

Elektra... well, I like her. I already posted the two 'type' of female Shepards I did make, but if I were to make a third one, she would look like this. I prefer these kind of women when it comes to Mass Effect, they have some cold in their looks, so they aren't the "I'm the pretty princess, don't shoot at me" type of characters. Kudos.
Anyways, kudos to the blondie posted several times above, she is one pretty Shepard.

Well, here's an embedded picture of one of the femsheps I created.
My poor wife was sitting model for thirty minutes. :)

I would like to comment on this, though. I find the default Jane Shepard to be.. well, really plain-faced. Not even remotely attractive, but also not necessarily repulsive. I suppose I'm one of the few who sees her that way, though *shrugs*.

I've found that increasing neck width and especially chin height go some way towards combating the "giraffe-neck" issue. As long as some sort of balance is maintained with regards to facial proportions you should be on the right track in my opinion.

I agree; I find the calibre of the design to be vastly lacking in comparison to the default male Shepard. I think Bioware should have hired a female model and borrowed her likeness like they did for the male counterpart. She looks more like a sidekick to me than an action hero, there's nothing striking about her appearance.

Sliders when ME2 comes out, maybe? ;)

I haven't seen many blonde Shepards I liked.

As surprising as it may sound, not much sliders required for this one.

This femshep is actually a preset with some tweaking involved.

Click the "cycle preset" button twice(i think), look for the right lips, eyebrows and then tweak the cheek and jaw just a little bit to your liking.

Honestly it may not look like this in the character creator but she looks like that during gameplay cutscenes and looks best from certain angles.

I did make a blonde shepard once when I was fiddling about, she looked like a copy of Heather Mason from Silent Hill 3 :D but... I wanted something other than the 'blonde' look... I had a blonde in my Kotor  :P and thanks for the comment on my Elektra, I did put quite a bit of effort in trying to make her not look like my Alexis :)

I also like the two posted above, nice femsheps.

But I do have one question, when we import our custom head sheps, will the slider-code appear so that we can note it down?

I have another question, is there a way to move my Shepards face when I customise it in ME1, because sometimes I find that... well... the jaw is either sticking out too much or the chin looks like the Joker from the batman cartoons. Any info? I know ME2 has that feature but for ME1 on the PC can we move their heads around when we're at the slider screen? Preese healp meh!

Why do people complain, I find many of these fem Shepards very very attractive. VERY. Same things with Miranda, who is very pretty.

Are you so into anime, or some highly fantasy supermodel looks or something that you cant find normal real life women attractive?
