I'm not really intimated by any enemy whose mind control power can essentially be stopped by a tinfoil hat.

Meh the Leviathans were at their most dangerous when they were cloaked in shadow.

Now that their secrecy is blown it's only a matter of time before we purge them.

What happed to your booming voice?

Don't forget those stupid orbs they need to use. We The Reapers methods of control are much more potent.

And even the reaper indoctrination methods should be able to be countered, and it shouldn't be too difficult either since we know the three components of it from the codex.

But the Levithans are capable of completely disabling ships within an unknown range. And we really don't know what else they can do.

Irrelevant now the galaxy has the technology to shield against it.

Based on this why would our ending choice change? Your headcanon scenario makes the Leviathans invincible. It doesn't matter if the Reapers are still around.

... You know, if that was the case, I would work hard to get the lowest EMS Destroy ending possible... Because, screw the galaxy! I am not going to save you from two giant God-like Cuttlefishes in a row!!! I'll just kill everyone, and end this miserable war...

Based on what you've said, the Leviathans are invincible. Nothing we do will stop them. The "Reaper Threat" wouldn't even factor into this.

If this was the case, I'd do a low EMS destroy.

Kill the Reapers. Wipe out any chance for a Leviathan resurgence. And leave a few survivors to rebuild with what they have.

Stop making up questions to slander destroy. All you're doing is trying to espouse synthesis.

So, if the worst case scenario you completely made-up out of nothing to justify your arrogant self-satisfying view that anyone who chooses Destroy is a moron for one reason or another, which is just laughably flawed, would I change my choice?

Nope.

Because your headcanon is stupid.

No change for me, destruction of the Reapers...although the Leviathans should be dealt with as well.

I'll go with the Ripley-Hicks solution. Nuke the place from orbit. Only way to be sure.

Yup, in fact I vote for overkill, multiple nukes, make the planet uninhabitable

The surest ways to suppress future Leviathan intervention are through the Control and Refuse endings. Control because the only documented victories against the Levis include the Reapers. Hell, the Reapers are the only things stopping them from taking back the throne. This extends to Refuse, as the Reapers know that there are still Levis out there, and will go to extreme measures to eradicate them this time around.

Even though there are still Reapers in Synthesis, their assumed free will means that some may not care if the Levis come back, and some may even enjoy the prospect of their creators making a comeback. And in Destroy, everyone is basically hopeless if the Leviathans try anything.

I don't really see how though, it seems the Leviathans need their potential thralls to be exposed to the fragments for an extended amount of time for control to be viable, there's also nothing stopping anyone from simply destroying the fragments that were used for the war. Sorry I just don't buy them as a threat, especially not one that should reappear in a future game. Next to the reapers they seem rather insignificant.

i really don't think leviathans are that much of a threat. i even believe we can welcome them to join the citadel races and be a productive race. we can learn a lot from them. i somehow believe that beneath all that hubris is a kindred spirit wishing the good will to all.

one leviathan quote really struck me "we could not [protect] them form their selves".:crying:

and all that trash talk about being superior just faded away. <_<

in reply i would say to the leviathan "so you do care?" "so you do have a heart"

You know I used to wonder why destroyers would hate on us controllers and synthesizers, after seeing this I understand.

I don't understand the need to assert what ending you picked, or why anyone should justify it to everyone else who disagree.

I picked Control, you picked Destroy, you picked Synthesis and you picked Refuse. So What? its not going to change what I picked or what you picked, so stop trying to guilt trip us into choosing something else.

Thank you, someone who understands, I don't care what others pick, hell I'm happy people can find enjoyment out of control and synthesis, but I also don't really enjoy some nutjob claiming I'm somehow a sociopath in real life because I killed pixels

Every new poll comes with 90% more desperate reaching to try to make destroy look bad.

Might as well come up with a scenario that says "What if Synthesis was just techno-organic space skin cancer that was going to kill everyone inside 2 years? WOULD YOU CHOOSE IT THEN!?" or "What if control just rewrote the Catalyst with Shepard's personality, but didn't change its conclusions about the necessity of the Cycle so it just started killing everyone again after the slides were done? WOULD YOU CHOOSE IT THEN?!"

Dude thats just plain rude. Happens to be true in this case. Still rude...

Nice to see I am not the only one who knows the Wulf's tricks.:P:P
When do we get the  "Reapers are victims speech?":P:P

Funny isn't it. Wulf keeps making up conditions to turn people away from destroy. 452536th thread and still no luck. New thread posted in 3...2...1:pinched:

Eventually he'll run out of increasingly absurd situations and just come to "What if Destroy killed all life in all possible Universes forever?  Would you choose it then?"

These kind of leap of logic opinions are always hard to argue against without basically calling out the person for being foolish.

But that's okay, it's not like I'm interested in a logical debate with, say, members of the Westboro Baptist Church, I'm quite happy to argue with a similar level of rhetoric. And mine are long and sharp, my lord, as long and sharp as yours.
