Quarian soldier, Volus sentinal, most anyone I give a sniper rifle to unless I'm really in the mood.

Bat sent I can melee and claymore/raider even if shockwave doesn;t work on PC and submission net is a joke unless it's right in front of you, (Geth scanner helped with that.. laying it as trap).... vorcha hunter can melee too, but those two above? I really don;t get them at all!

(Not keen on the CD mechanics of Collector adept and voladept either but can be sort of useful with them I think, even if I have to go into skulk behind a wall time during those ridiculous CDs)

I like powers more than shooting tho. I could play Shamen for example, but I get bored warping and shooting with warp ammo (and all Krogan need to do some headbutting soooo there's no draw for me.)

Don't use Biotic Slash - it leaves your ass hanging out for the enemy. (unless you're wallhacking with geth scanner, but the Shadow is better at that since she can TC)

Phase Disruptor is WAY better - it's pretty much a spammable grenade with infinite range that travels in a straight line.

Yeah, i spec him for phase disruptor and can play him well but no where near what i can with other classes.

My main issue with the guy is that he FEELS like he should be good with melee, as he has some of the best melee and animations and  a freaking sword but his melee damage just seems subpar, and i can't bear to neglect the sword.

N7 Shadow and the turian Cabal. I just...can't enjoy them. I can't. If I wanted to melee I'd be a krogan, if I wanted to do what the Cabal does I'd be the Slayer and PD spam things. Poisons feel overrated in comparison.

I understand. But you get the light melee DR with only 3 (or zero? IDK) in fitness which is basically what it's good for.    Slayer was always good but the blanace change made him amazing so long as you put on your pink VG/biotic glasses and see the sword as a style accesory *grin*

Scorpion/piranha, and PD charge everything ftw  *grin*

You mean the GI? LOL. GI should either be a 6/5/6/6/3 or a 6/6/6/6/0. Not taking Proxy Mine is a huge mistake. 

 

Well, that's the sniper GI.

I have mine spec'd for Hurricane and shotties at the moment. 45665. Works well.

I'm good with the drell guard but not nearly as good as a lot of the better players out there.

I suck monster ass with the Turian Ghost. It probably has something to do with the fact that I seem to be the only person in the game that doesn't have a harrier.

I absolutely suck with the Turian Soldier on Gold+. Destroyer just feels more effective to me. Or maybe I just need to use it on a bad team so I can go WTF this thing is awesome. IDK,,,

The thing is that... even if you are not very good with certain kits
the weakness of that kit can be completely compensated by high level equipments.

If you are not good with squishy character, Cyclonic modulator IV will completely change that.
As long as you are good gunner, good weapon with right mods will make you decent no matter what.

For Geth Infiltrator, there are multiple different ways of utilizing him.
If you cannot survive as him, just put on cyclonic modulator IV and make him tanky and he is still best gunning class with decent defense.
If you know how to survive as glass cannon GI then you just go do what you do at best.

Beautiful thing about this game is that all characters can be adjusted to your play style.. even if it is not optimal. So setting up character to your playstyle is important just as much as learning the game mechanic.

As long as you understand basic game mechanic, cover system, and enemy AI pattern, you will be good with any character.

I played 200 waves with that damn vorcha engineer for some challenge. I tried different weapons specs and such and only twice did I break past 100k in gold so haven't played him since. Same with the Turian saboteur couldn't figure out what to do with him either.

For what it's worth The G.I is a tough kit to roll with. My advice is to play the crap out of it; find it's weaknesses against every faction and above respect your enemy. You may be able to dominate against reapers but don't pull that Javelin out against Collectors unless you got the skills to get them kills...
