Why all the hate for the Juggernaut?
Are you people seriously this buttmad about a decent tank in the game?
inb4crutches
No.

They're not tanks. Calling them tanks imply they draw attention well, but they don't. Why the hate is because they generally make for bad teammates. They're slow, they're obstructing, they have the damage output of tissue, and way too many players just spam their melee. They just survive, they don't actually contribute.

Now there are some who play them well, but unfortunately its uncommon.

I like strolling across the map behind the team
I like strolling across the map reviving people, it`s funny how many enemies you see when you can`t run into a spawn  =]
I like strolling across the map and shoot my healing turret in my team mate`s face just befor they die and need to be revived, it`s ok, the turret worked for the other team mate
I like strolling across the map towards extraction with the need to make a detour to revive you, ofcourse you run away instead of taking some heat off my back because i can`t run and miss extraction <_<
I like standing at a choke point killing everything that comes close, ofcourse the three of you go to another but when i get bored and want to help, you come running past me and kill shield restore baits to die on the bosses you were dragging behind instead of the trash  :crying:
I like standing near our spawn point in the early waves, stop moaning, you aren`t the objective :innocent:
I like standing at the extraction point while every one is running around, with an occasional death, ask the cloaker to revive you instead of me :wizard:
I love hearing you pep talk me, no serious, ***************** juggernaut, that makes me smile :D
I really really really love my pew pew pew sound, stop killing my Prime buddy while we make a duet :pinched:
Please stop focusing fire on my blind date, her royal banshee isn`t such a witch, ok, maybe here or there is a killing twitch:wub:

Hex: none
Siege: damage - resis - 60% damage
Turret: shield - shield - shield
Jugg: power - power - damage
Hardened: health - speed - health
GPS with barrel and omni blade (35%)

If the math is relatively ok`ish, the pulse is doing aprox:
(base) 960 + (damage) 60% = 1536 per shot * 3 = 4600 (for full unload)
I don`t play gold because i suck in pug teams, so on silver i throw a engineering kit 4 on it:: 1536 +12.5% = 1728 *3 = 5184 damage
or some times the joints for 15% melee damage fun...

So far i like this build the most out of a dozen i tried, and if people stick with their random pug match for several rounds to a few hours without getting my poor platform ass kick voted out, the jugg isn`t hated that much if played decently and not as a lone killing machine not to support the team ;)

I don't hate Juggernauts at all. I hate the players who seem to think that the only thing he can do is melee everything and not pump out damage his gun/pulse cannon.

I think it works with the Vollus Mercenary. Not so much with any of the others, though.

I melee a lot when I Juggernaut, but I do a pretty good job of drawing aggro. As in I'll ignore all the stuff that's beating on me while I saunter over to the Praetorian etc that hasn't taken an interest in me yet. I'd say I use the light melee just as often as the heavy.

you know what is worse than players using "Terrible builds / loadouts / playstyles"? players crying about it on forums :) :). you can always leave that "terrible" lobby or kick the "bad" player with "horrible" loadout, or just tell him to change it or just simply carry them to victory because you have superduper build, perfect loadout and magnificent playstyle :D :D :D. and what about all that hipster hate on juggernaut? every jugger i met in pugs was ok, many times with really nice score. you just have to play WITH them and not AGAINST them.

- dont destroy their shields just because they are in your way, you can always change your position
- dont let him get overwhelmed by too many enemies
- if you think his heavy melee takes too long, dont just look... shoot!!
- try to lure bosses to him, not away from him
- he is slow, so dont let him carry objectives

I found a guy who was using the demolishers supply pylon as a remotely detonatable grenade.
I don't think it was particularly effective, but he wasn't the lowest scoring.

All hail the Shepard who gaveth unto us the Crusader.
The shotgun that is usable on all kits,
it does it's holy work at close and range
with not 1 not 2 not even 3 but 4 shots.

Though thine cooldowns on powers may be longer
Kill steals wilt thou be able to achieve.
all praise Shepard. All praise be to Shepard!

ie i dont really care what people use or don't use. Seen some really odd builds but they worked more power to them.

Nothing crazy about that, even though it's not my thing. A harrier can be used on anything.

People playing Adepts or Vanguards with two heavy weapons.

BTW.
I don't put 6 into Grenades on my AV and do pretty well thanks :innocent:  She's one of my best Gold Characters v Cerberus.

6 into BC to get barrier restore
4 into stassis just for duration. Good for Phantoms and Nemesis
4 into grenades (I normally run her with "shock trooper" so I get extra nades anyway)
6 into Justicar and max fitness (I find her too squishy to skip fitness points)

Equipe Pirhana and charge-fire-charge

I've tried 6 into Grenades but I like to max fitness and also a few points into stassis.
I do max grenades on the DrellGuard and I don't bother with pull.

I was in a pug not so long ago that saved the carry objective specially for me
Downside of it, wave 10 with the spawns ripped apart, i had to stroll trough the open with fire coming from every where :pinched:
Plus side, some people atleast realise how much damage a jugg can soak with a snack to recover shields when speed is thrown out the window for their own survivability

So you thought taking 10% additive weapon damage and additive headshot bonus would be more beneficial than a cone AoE 350+ damage, freeze/slow effect, 25% armor weaken effect, tech combo detonator and cryo explosion primer that you get to use FOR FREE, EVERY SINGLE TIME YOU CLOAK, on a melee character who will frequently be in the correct range to use it?

I... what... I don't even... *sigh*

6/3/6/5/6

There you go. Max grenades, max Fitness, a few points in Stasis.

I reckon having 2 extra grenades per Thermal Clip that do 270 more damage in ~70% more AoE is well worth sacrificing 2.4s Stasis duration and 61.68 damage per shot.

Without Bubble, Stasis is not worth using on anything except Phantoms.

AV can already stagger Phantoms ad infinitum with Bonus Power Charge + Lift Grenades.
