I have played this through more times than I like to admit... considering the romance alternatives, the back story quests, and the running commentary as you run around...



1. Alistair (playing king-maker thing is too cool to pass up...)

2. Zevran (at higher levels, he is WICKED)

3. Shale (the associated quest items associated to her are way cool)

3. Wynne (although I hate any conversation with her, she's great as a mage).



Those 3 are usually in my team, unless the game forces me to use someone else.

My party has consistently been Morrigan, Alistair and Wynne. Some of the conversations with those three are great!!!

Sometimes I replace Alistair with Shale. I don't really use other characters if I don't have to.

When I played my rogue it was Alistair, Morgan/Wynn (would switch them out often), and my marabi.



With my warrior it was Shale (until I "lost" him in the deep roads, then I switched to Alistair), Morrigan, and Leliana. (this was an unstoppable combo compared to my first one)



I just started a mage last night, and I anticipate my party to be Shale, Zevran, and possibly Sten to mix it up.

Leliana (the most dialogue if you ask her about locations and all her bardic tales, although that camp song is disturbing using in-game graphics)



Morrigan (she can be a real ****, but that's what makes her funny)

Ah, would have to be,

Zevran, because I am slightly obsessed with him. Nay, more than slightly. I end up with him in my party even when I set out not to. I tell myself, NO! not this time! I'll run with Leliana now, I'm sure it will work out just fine... but then Zevran shows up, and... well, I end up bringing him along anyway. I think most of us have a character like that. Zev's just mine.
Alistair, absolutely adorable and very funny with Zevran. There's a dialogue with him ending up going, "Not listening! La la la!" that always makes me chortle. I also love just talking to him because, unlike most of the characters, he won't have a hissyfit if I tease him.
Shale, well, Shale is just awesome. This is the only character I occasionally 'replace' in my party, depending on my mood though.

Zev and Alistair, they come along with pretty much all my different characters, except for that one run when I tried very hard to be mean and had to leave Alistair behind... because even though I could almost manage to insult and kill random NPCs, I just couldn't be mean to Alistair :/

I wasn't a huge fan of Morrigan and she was a witch to me for a long time. I tried to get on her good side but always failed. I gave up and left her butt at camp for a long time and then took her out again. Apparently my attitude change where I didn't care about her opinion made her like me.



Anyway, I romanced Leliana because I truly liked her character and I also romanced Morrigan to enough of a degree to see what the consequences would be. It was fun to listen the banter between Alistair, Leliana, and Morrigan when we were exploring.

I honestly would never have expected this going into the game, but...



1. Sten. He takes cookies from fat little children. "He did not need more."



2. Alistair, for his adorable Xanderishness and the fact that you can be mean to him as play, and he runs with it, when most other characters would just get huffy and storm off with big approval drops.



3. Hrm....Tough choice, but I have to say Leiliana's voice pushes her over the top for me. When she's trying to sound sultry, it kinda pushes my buttons, and when she's doing "shy and embarassed" it still strikes me as adorable. Chalk it up to a great performance from the VA.

I'm currently on my 3rd playthrough and these are the ones I usually bring along with me:

1. Alistair - Tank + Eye-candy


2. Leliana - For her lockpicking skills when I play a non-Rogue / Zevran - He humors me... such a flirt! Plus I love the banters between him and Wynne.


3. Morrigan / Wynne - Used to take Morrigan along a lot as my mage companion until Wynne came along. The latter's healing spells are life-savers... no pun intended.
