Has there been any word on this?

For me this makes multiple playthroughs much more satisfying. I was really surprised that we couldn't start new games with characters that had finshed the campaign already(inventory and income).

not happening. That would have taken way more development time than they have.

Dang that's a bummer. I imagine it has to do with balance issues. Strange that ME has the ability for you to import your old character but the DA series does not.
