She´s definitely slower killer and I have troubles with her against Collectors, but other than that I think she´s great and unique character. She´s just played differently than classic TC+shoot high damage infiltrators.

Even if you build her as a sniper/shotgun infiltrator she is much stronger than the original humans, in some maps stronger than salarian, female quarian etc. Many people hate Electrical Slash but to me it is like Overload that goes through walls.

Yeah, she's a grab bag as far as Infiltrators go.

- Her TC is for snipers - Melee mods don't exist for sniper rifles, and there are much better sniping kits.
- She's quite frail for a melee kit. Other kits that revolve around melee are either very tough (Krogan/Batarian) or very resileint (Vorcha's regenerating health, AIU's Repair Matrix). She is neither.

She should've gotten an augmented Tactical Cloak. Replace the SR bonus damage with either Health Regen while cloaked (give people a reason to take duration & further cement her "Alliance Phantom" theme), SMG or Pistol Damage, or more melee damage. I mean, Sniping with her is stupid. It works. I love it. But it's stupid.

I played her a lot when earth first came out, but getting killed while shadow striking is a huge turnoff. I never really liked the slashes either.

I agree. Every other Infiltrator is better, and most non Infiltrators.

She's fun, but melee builds just don't work out that well for her once more and more of the boss units start trudging in. That and things like SKs, her low health and shields, the length of the SS anim, enemies getting hits in during the cloaked SS anim (lol SSing a collector trooper and having a swarm they summoned during the anim explode in ur face), SS activation bugs, ES trolling teammates and its TB evo not working, and enemies like brutes w/ blade armor all just make her worse for wear. That and if you spec for SS and thus take the duration and bonus power evos on TC, her weapon isn't nearly as strong as the other infils (sans huntress ofc).

To me she is the worst infil, even a good weapon/dps spec on the FQI and HI can do better and are more versatile. That said, being the worst infil means ur still mid-tier, at worst, cause of TC.. so its not all bad.

On a melee build you should just use heavy melee to kill on mook waves.

She's a good mook killer. Not so much for bosses.

I can run her quite well in gold but admittedly there are a lot of caveats in the kit. My biggest issue with her is how buggy and slow shadow strike is. Sometimes it triggers quickly but there are times where I end up mashing the SS button with nothing happening. Electric slash is decent but like the SS, its animation is also slow as ****. Though useful when used behind walls and during specific objective waves, spamming ES is stupid and very annoying to teammates too.

On the plus side, the Shadow is an excellent single target killer. IIRC a fully specced SS will OHK any enemy smaller than a brute (including phantoms) and with bonus power, she can use SS twice in a single TC cycle. Since she's usually specced for duration, she's a good team medic and device capper for objectives.

also imo she's actually the only real infiltrator who works best by cloaking for more than 0.5 seconds, unlike all the others.
You probably won't top the scoreboard with a good team but she's tons of fun and the way to play her is unique. It requires to know exactly how TC and aggro mechanics work, but if you do, you never die. SS also has mechanics that take time to get used to.

edit : scions CAN be SS'ed, brutes should be SS'ed when they are charging but even if not, you can usually not get hurt if you dodge, and same for ravagers, if you dodge right after SS you don't get hurt.

Also I don't understand why no one ever mentions that she's as good against geths as she is against cerberus. She can one-SS everything but primes, and then primes are much less a problem than atlases.

I just play her for the ninja lulz.

I also typically try to SS sub-boss units like Scions, Ravagers, Dragoons, Phantoms, and Pyros. You know, stuff that likely won't lie by the time you get there, and won't end up completely murdering you when you arrive(Geth Prime elbow is notorious for this). Also does great for Turrets even though your shields will get blown off by it.

I try not to use her for mook killing, as SS is typically major overkill for mooks. As the ME Wiki states, I try to keep her for dealing with problem units that might pin down the rest of the team.

Agreed.
It's not a terrible class, mind you. It just doesn't offer the DPS that the other infiltrators do.

And in Platinum that's all that really matters.
