correct, but if you specced TC for duration, then you have lotsa time to get that 2nd SS off and still have a good cd coming out of cloak. The cd mostly impacts how quickly you want to get the 2nd SS_ES out while cloaked (unless you go really heavy, which is prob not a good idea).

Tactical Cloak overrides with it's own current cooldown. So, if your cooldown is 2.5 seconds, that's what the override will be. If your cooldown is more than three seconds, Tactical Cloak will use a special mechanic to set it to three seconds exactly.

With Bonus Power, the power's cooldown is used, not TC.

So I:

Cloak-Shadow Strike

2 seconds laters, a second Shadow Strike with full TC Bonus (this one breaks cloak,) plus enough time to get a Heavy Melee with the full bonus, as well, and the whole process takes about 6 seconds plus the travel time on Shadow Strike (which often isn't much, if you're in a small crowd of mooks.

That's three massive damage spike attacks in a very short period of time.

Shadow is cooler than people think.

ok thanks, yeah I have a duration/bonus power cloak, so I'll see if the cooldown between 2 SS in one cloak doesn't impact my playstyle too much if I'm carrying a Wraith or Piranha

don't melee with her. and i bet you specced her wrong (like damage of TC rank4, and sniper damage on rank6, and you carry a sniper rifle...). we have at least 6 infiltrator for sniper rifles...why would you use her for that when she is a cool chick with sword, SHE IS SUPPOSED to use like a sword-wielder.

cloak, shadow strike (no need for any of the shield stealing or DR evo at all), kill, wait a little, shadow strike, kill, wait a little, cloak, shadow strike...

i don't understand you, people. probably she is one of the very few, if not the one, that can one-hit a phantom...and you say she sucks. OMG.

Contradiction? Players who only shadow strike suck. Are you go to shadow strike that atlas to death with disciple with an omni-blade?

All infiltrators should be able to one-shot a gold phantom. The rest might be able to with a power stripping most of the shield then shooting on platinum.

I can't mathematically argue in favour of her DPS, but I think what she loses there isn't as bad as you make it out to be. But it's a different class, you like what she can do or you don't. I love her.

1. Melee decapitates. Very useful against Collectors.

2. One of the best tracking Heavy Melees in the game. Can use it to kill several enemies at once.

3. ES staggers up to three enemies, and works through walls.

4. Doesn't need to carry a sidearm for Phantoms.

5. Can combine speed, Tactical Cloak, and Shadow Strike to tactically move around the battlefield better than anyone.

6. Shield drain combines defense with huge offensive damage spike.

7. One the best survivalist/defensive characters in the game with TC, great dodge and speed.

Jokes aside, I agree with everything you said.  It is true that a Shadow that is properly specced for Shadow Strike-based play probably has lower sustained DPS output than other Infiltrators.  That doesn't make her worse though, unless you're going for speedruns.  She is very effective when used strategically, and can mesh very well with a team of high armor DPS characters, taking mook fire off of them so they can concentrate on taking down bosses ASAP.

all SR infil can OS a platinum phantom,  from full barrier&health to none, with a Javelin/widow, it's a lot easier off-host obviously
haven't tried BW or mantis though

Ill just say this, some people can make a class shine, and some just cant there are as many bad "classes/builds" out there, as there are people who cant make something work ;D, me personally, i love all the classes phantom included.

"Shadow" is the strongest infiltrator of the game, in my opinion.

<_< No. She has a unique play style that some might find enjoyable to play, but she is not the strongest infiltrator in the game.

I use this "build":

This class with this "build" is very fast, efficient and versatile. Using two "ss" for attack, the first on an weak enemy to enable the 50% bonus and lastly, an enemy of "armor", is VERY strong.

You just need to know how to play her. I spec her for TC duration and extra power. Spam eletric slash every time you can and use shadow strike when you think the oportunity allows. The talon pistol works very well with her.

Definite "significant": If significantly more means 70-80% then you might be right. If it means 95% you've found someone to bet with.
