Is there any way to prevent being railroaded into activating your private terninal to talk to Hackett right after Horizon while the DLC is installed?

Yes I know I can go through the scene but that's not the point.

I wanted to read my messages and deal with other crew/collector related missions first not talk to Hackett!  At least not until after I've gone through the omega 4 relay.

After the call the Arrival mission is just a note in the galaxy map in the lower right corner to "Sava dr. Kenson" It isn't forced and you can complete it immediately or after suicide mission.

Was talking about The Call itself, not the mission.

Start a new playthrough with a new Shepard with Arrival DLC pre-installed, access your Personal Terminal at anytime after Horizon and the first thing the game does is trigger a cutscene that forces Shepard to go talk to Hackett.  That's what I call railroading.

I don't want to talk to Hackett, not yet.

Only if you uninstall it before starting your new game then reinstall it when ready, otherwise you'll get the call after Horizon. And then either lie to Hackett saying you'll get to it right away or tell Kackett that evidence of an iminent Reaper invasion isn't important enough. (like hell)

That sucks.  Was hoping there was a way around the call and/or removing the DLC.
Thanks!

Like PhantomSun I'd be really interested if there was some easy way to go about this :/ I feel it's sort of immersion breaking if you wanna' leave the Arrival 'til after dealing with the Collectors (the most realistic option), but being told "Oh by the way, there's an imminent Reaper invasion" ... If the call could be put off until after Shepard destroys/hands over the Collector base the whole plotline would make a lot more sense. I'm picky when it comes to stuff like that, haha, but it would be cool :(

Might be possible to remove the dependency on the DLC for your save in gibbed and then delete the DLC, reinstalling later. That is a large can of worms, though. May break your save.

I'm with HouseE on this .. I really didn;t like the way this was implemented. As Hackett states its an imminent repear invasion, how can Shep leave the mission till after the collectorbase ?  BW should have changed the imminent threat to just locate and rescure Dr Kenson, and Hackett  kicks in after completing the collectorbase.
