I am trying to host a game but I am having little luck.
Currently I have used the nwn2server GUI to set up a game which I can join by LAN.
I ahve given the other players my external IP adress and set up my router so that the ports can be accessed from the outside.
I assumed others would then be able to direct connect from my IP but I assumed wrongly.
Prior to Pains work coming on line does anyone know what I need to do to host a game?
Thanks
PJ

if you have all the ports open and you are using the server ip on the nwn2server client. its not the right ip. have to use your ip of your router. can find it easy by going to google and type in what is my ip. just figured it out with my buddy.

Damn, I didn't think this thread was this old. Anyway, I'd had problems hosting games too, but today I was told of Tunngle, a program that lets you "cheat" the game so it thinks you're playing on LAN.
So install the program, register, look for NWN2 in the game list, create the server, and others will be able to connect by clicking on "join LAN game". That's all.
