I'm fighting Branka(or Caradin I suppose, but I sided with him) and am finding it impossible. I have a warrior, Oghren, Alistair, and wynne and find myself unable to make any headway. I dont have any freezing ability other then petrify, or real aoe, and finishing move is by far the most damaging thing I have, and thats pretty much one shot. I can kill any two of the golems, but I can never get any further. With my current(probably not optimal) team, is there any tactic, exploit, etc I can use ? (For instance I tried to distract one of the elites with threaten but it didn' t work.)

You should be able to do it just fine. A lot of healing for Wynne to do of course. Just remember to have her use the lyrium vains to refill her mana. And if you havent, go to the options and turn the difficulty down to easy, that should help.

Not an optimal team, no. It really depends, though, on their talent/spells and how you've equipped and set them up.
Have someone kite around the area using the lyrium deposits (it need not be a mage). This stops Branka from using them herself, and thus from duplicating herself.
Some prefer to take out the golems first, others just go for Branka herself. Ranged attacks can be very useful there. Use bombs if you have them. Crowd control and AoE are very helpful, as are things that weaken the boss. Hexes and Glyphs can be useful if you have them.
If Alistair is your tank, try to grab and hold aggro. Have Wynne heal him & buff him to keep him alive. Use forcefield on him if necessary. Have your dps guys pick off the others, focusing their fire on one at a time. If Wynne can keep the 'friendly' golems alive too, they can be a big help.
Edit: sorry, without knowing your setup it's hard to be more specific. If all else fails, drop difficulty to an easier setting.

As mentioned above, I'm one of those that prefer to take out the golems one at a time first, then concentrate on Branka (I did this for all my three games so far, with different teams). While your team is certainly weighted towards warriors, it should still be fine for you. Just keep Wynne alive to keep the rest alive and hammer away.
