Not at all!!

The reapers were Destroyed, Karli will do some hospital time, and then it's time to Partay!!
(and snuggle with Liara!!)

Deperssion is normal after playing ME3. Thats intended by the developers. Thats how they wanted to finish the series, right guys? ****ing ending.

I still moved around after beating the game... so I didn't feel depressed at all.

Imagine this: Shepard survived Destroy ending and once he is out of the hospital, everybody is blaming him for ****ing up the galaxy in the process of saving it.

Why?

Because the galaxy has entered a dark age and people need someone to blame, Shepard is the obvious choice here. It be like "If this Shepard person had handled the situation better and acted sooner, we would not be in this kind of situation".

Who do you think the galactic society will believe? A former Specter who slaughtered millions of Batarians or a handful "trust worthy" politicians?

Well, whatever, my Shepard always wanted to be a space gangsta.

Indeed.  I uninstalled the game for months even after EC.  oO this day I have no idea why they thought forcing these endings on all players was a good idea.

If you're on the PC, there's a mod that really helps though:

If you're depressed then you should either:
1) distract yourself with comedy (or watch the video's in my signature)
2) watch all 10 hours of this:

EDIT: I've fixed it.

It's been just over a year since my initial rage over the ending and coming back to these forums I've discovered it hasn't subsided at all.

It's still an incomprehensible cluster****.

Meh, I got over it. I was upset at the ending and I still don't like it. But it's nothing to get literally depressed about. After all, like you said, it really IS just a video game.

It wears off, OP. Eventually, you look back and laugh at how ridiculous you were being.

I agree with the bottom 2 not the 1st one ..... If you're really still this depressed over ME3s ending, you need to do something that doesn't involve anything ME at all for a bit. Play BioShock Infinite.

not depresses.. but empty.. like theres something missing.. like a satisfying ending to the series..

i still think they should carry on making games in the ME universe.. but one more game on this generation of consoles... if not shepard .. then something leading into the next games... fill my hole lol

Still slowly getting over my depression from a year ago. I still have this painful pit of emptyness. It's just something that I guess can't be filled knowing how this is how it all ends.

Headcanon, fanfiction, fan art, and Citadel DLC helped. Even my own rewrite of the ending.

But there's only so much that can really do. The ending is the most obvious and best example, but on the whole, ME3 is just really badly done.

The game is really depressing (and not in a narrative way).

Or even in a narrative way. The whole game has a depressing atmosphere, but there's still that ever faint flame of hope, and knowing that the right choices will get me to that hope. It expands and contracts considerably over the course of the game, and you even believe that you can win through unity as a galaxy.

Then BW pulls the rug out from under you so SuperMac and Hudson can give you the ending they personally wanted.

I'll be honest, I tried that, and all it did was make ME feel even worse. Everything I played and watched just reminded me of how bad it is.

You need to stop everything ME for a bit. That's what I did. Everyone telling you to read fanfiction and stuff is wrong. That'll make it worse. Go play some other new games, start a TV series, get in to something else for a bit. And get off these forums.

You'll come back appreciating ME for what it was and for what led you to it originally. Other than that, anything you do that is ME related right now will only make things worse.. You wanna feel better? Leave. You'll come back eventually. Did it myself.

I think the extended cut endings are just fine. I am not depressed at all

Even before the EC fixed every problem i had with the original bad endings, I still wasnt depressed because it was 5 minutes of unimpressment vs 35 HOURS of epicness

You need to be able to let yourself like something else. ME is still my all time favoite video game series, but I played the Bioshock games, the Batman Arkham games, Assassin's Creed games, and I like all those series. There are other games series out there that are fantastic and it's okay to like them.

After ME I tried Batman games and got right into the story, I stopped thinking of ME entirely because I was so into this new series I was playing..

Now I'm back because ME is my "true love" of video games but I don't really care about the ending anymore
