Mass Effect fan.

Well, *was* a Mass Effect fan anyway. Nonsensical, disjointed endings killed that, dead.

Both SP and MP, on Xbox 360 (my SP file is on Xbox).

Since I didn't have a Gold subscription, I could only play MP on my brother's Xbox account. He suddenly added a password to his account, so I just said "screw it" and bought ME3 for PS3.

Experienced SP-finale on another copy prior to purchasing my own.

Therefore, what initially drove me to get the game meself was MP, looked fun going by footage, and SP-DLC cycle wasn't set in stone quite yet either at the time.
Having that said, now that is done, SP gets progressively better and better thanks to fans. Only rarely log into MP for a PuG or two these days, though.

I've been trying to know the answer to that too.
Just in my own eccentric way of asking; you know how it is.

The SP in the demo had me worried but the MP demo was where I first learned to love MP. I've only touched SP once.

Bought it for the single player and then played the MP demo and didn't look back... I still haven't got round to finishing the single player.

Me too, although I just completed my second sp playthrough last night. I just wanted to see the Garrus LI dialogue that I'd heard so much about, and try out the Citadel and EC DLC. Meh. Back to Defiance for me.

I doubt I'll ever pick this game up again, for sp or mp. There are so many better games out there, in both regards.

Was skeptical about the multiplayer, but ended up liking both it and the SP. I bought it to see the conclusion of the Reaper arc.

I preordered ME3 because I love Mass Effect. I didn't think I would get into MP, but I figured that I'd try it after that ending ruined the game for me. I got addicted, and it's the only game I've played for the past year.

I was very skeptical about mp first, since being a fan of the first two games. I played demo mp in order to spend time before release and was impressed.
Ending dissapointment played a big role too, I still have only one sp playthrough.

I highly doubt many non-fans bother with visiting the forums so your numbers are always going to be a bit skewed.

That said, I've put in roughly 200 hours across all SP campaigns with various playthroughs (only one full run through of ME3 SP) and about to hit 900 hours on ME3 MP. I've written 65k words on a fanfiction (and it's not even close to be doing yet) based on my favourite MP character. Suffice it to say, both a fan of ME and MP.

Played ME2, got hooked got ME3.
Played SP for a bit but I found gameplay to be lacklustre, and seeing my favorite weapons castrated left a foul taste in my mouth. Not to mention some story BS that I found pretty lame (legion's death for example), and the whole ending fiasco.
Absolutely loved the MP tho especially after I got my Saber in my first Specter pack I bought (4 bronze game grinds lol)

Mass Effect fan.

From the day it was announced until the day I gave the multiplayer a try (which was after I had already beaten the game), I vehemently hated that multiplayer had infiltrated Mass Effect. I finally gave it a try, and it turned out it wasn't so bad after all. It wasn't anything Earth-shattering and it certainly isn't anywhere close to being my favorite/most addicting multiplayer experience, but it was all right.

Haha, well I'm enjoying the ME3 MP still, I'm playing with more of the guys from here, which makes Platinum games far faster and more fun, than grinding through it with Pugs.

I have to take a look at defiance, It something I that looks like something I might like, so I may pick it up a bit in the future, then you can help my lowly character when I start :D

Oh Hell no!

I purchased this game strictly for the single player.

I was convinced that MP would suck hard.

I was wrong. SP ending soured me on this game.

But it turned out that MP is hella fun!
MP is by far a superior experience to SP. Highly addictive and rewarding.

I agree with everything you said except "SP ending soured me on this game"
From beggining to the end it was disappointing imo.

I guess MP for ME4 is all but confirmed at this point. All I can hope for is that the multiplayer rumors for Dragon Age Inquisition are just rumors.

I bought this for the SP, but i am married to the MP. At the moment, i use MP to pass time when i dont have long enough for an SP session. Which, is often.

^This - I love the SP and thought I would only play the MP as needed for the SP Readiness rating. I ended up loving MP as well.

Bought the game for the SP, initially I hated the idea of MP for ME3. It irritated me that to get the ending I wanted I was forced into playing MP, thought it was a bad move on Bioware's part. I was proven wrong, still playing it a year later.

I was always going to buy it for the single player. Then the demo gave me another reason to buy.

Was always going to buy Mass Effect 3 for the single player to finish Shepard's story.
Was skeptical about multiplayer, then tried it in the demo.

Now I play ME3 for both the single player and multiplayer.
