I bought it for the campaign only. I was one of the many put off by the endings so I shelved the game for months. I only started playing MP last November when one of my friends talked me into it.

This is the only game in which I bothered with MP to begin with, so yeah I was a big fan of Mass Effect.

I bought it for the SP and had no intentions of playing MP ever. I eventually wandered into it to get the overload related achievement, and I've been hooked ever since.

I bought ME3 at midnight release and didn't even know there was a multiplayer... or that there was ever a demo for it. Then when I found out... I scoffed at it... no way would that crap be any good!

I was glad to be wrong... but I would've continued to feel that way if someone hadn't shown my how to play Gold (I skipped Silver entirely).

Been playing since Mass Effect showed up all those years ago. Fell in love with the galaxy; and kept playing as they came out. Never thought I'd like ME3 MP. It stands alone as the only 3rd person shooter in my library.

I've played Mass Effect since the first one came out, but I bought 3 for both SP and MP.

Having played the MP in the demo did kind of show me that I wasn't going to hate it(which was all I got the demo for really).

MP is great, but Mass Effect is story. It's all about the story (at least until ME3).

Take away the MP and Mass Effect really won't be any different. As fun as it is, I'm here for the Single-player.

Well, I BOUGHT for Multi-player.

But I could just simply download it from the Internet if it wasn't for the MP.

So, either way, I would have the game.

Bought it for the single player and then played the MP demo and didn't look back... I still haven't got round to finishing the single player.

I bought it for SP, but then played the MP demo and got addicted. It's surprising how good it turned out to be. I think what I like the most about MP is how I can just shut down my brain and forget all about the ending fiasco just to enjoy a good shooting sesion. No worrier, no drama. Just you, the gun and magnet hands.

Bought in for a SP. When I finished the story, I tried MP3 to chase away the blues. 627 hours 26 min later: I still can't get enough of the MP!

I started with ME2, because "everyone" was carrying on about it so much.

Once I got it, learned that ME play through impacted ME2, so I bought ME and ditched my first play in ME2 (was just a few steps into the game at that point), starting ME from scratch, taking it to ME2.

Got all the DLC, played pretty much every freakin' character/LI combo.

Started one renegade shep, but after the execution of the Asari commando (Thorian thrall)--which really disturbed me--went back and replayed that one again, this time as paragon, this became my Jack LI version--seemed appropriate.

Couldn't wait for ME3 SP, had no interest in MP. Played MP just to boost my Galaxy at War readiness level, got hooked.

Hugely disappointed in ending(s), no real interest in playing SP again (Shep is stranded in the clinic, waiting to visit Ash in my second play through). Maybe will pick it back up with the MEHEM version, which I've installed, but have not played.

Really, really loved MP, a total surprise to me. Bought all the SP DLC as a thank you to BioWare, for ME3 MP (I don't spend real money in the fake store), even though I have not played any of the SP DLC at this point. Without MP, would have been very let down by ME3, nice consolation prize.

tl;dr: I'm an ME fan, surprised by ME3 MP and very happy with it, despite the bugs, etc.

I bought ME3 for the single player, having been a fan of the series since I played the first one in 2008. I despised the ME3 multiplayer demo, and I even took a day off from work so I could indulge in the single player story. How funny.....the way things have turned out.

I see numerous people out in PUG lobbies who only have played Mass effect and only have multiplayer achievements/trophies. So i'm wondering...did anyone buy this solely for the MP or are you a Mass effect fan?

I ended up buying this solely for the multiplayer, played singleplayer...got a terrible playthrough and then played through the other three games.

Already knew that 3 was going to suck balls after Rannoch; if the MP demo had not been as amazing as it was, I would not have purchased the game, period.

I don't reward mediocrity with money. That's an idiot or Activision loyalist's job.

Bought it for the SP.
Tried the MP in the demo and got tired of it pretty fast. Haven't played MP for a year now.

I'm a SP fan first and foremost, I'm a huge fan of the whole trilogy and consider them to be my favorite games (disregarding the last ten minutes or so).

I only started MP because I wanted to boost my galactic readiness. I didn't expect to get more than two hours out of it, let alone over 900...

Story of my life this past year.

Single player was an all-around disappointment, though not a total flop.

Multiplayer was a very welcome surprise.
