I hope he polishes that hard-earned Bronze revive medal every night from now on.

Ironically, I get grabbed much more with fast and nimble characters than with slow and dodgeless ones. When I've got the greased lightning drell or asari, I'm always convinced that I can run right by the banshee, in the little space to the left or right of her...and I can sometimes even make it a step or two past her before being drawn back into the hug of doom.
I can better that.
Just finished hack on Giant in the pillars at the bottom of the ramps. Banshee was just at the bottom of right hand ramp and a Ravager was at the top of it. I targeted the Ravager with my Asarigard and BC past the Banshee.
Got to the top and hung there in mid air like a Christmas Decoration sync killed by the Banshee.

In one Reapers Plat game, thanks to combination of lag, tiredness, bad judgement etc, I think I managed to get grabbed on every single wave that had banshees (8 of them).

The one jumping through walls and grabbing you before you can dodge is fun, too.
Sometimes I think they are just playing with me... one will chase me over half the map, never slowing down so I can kill her... I run around a corner and right into another one who grabs me immediately.
Apart from the revive sync kill (I hate those guys) it's usually my fault for not paying attention and/or trusting my team to watch my back. Sometimes I'm "in the zone" and melting everything in front of me... or exploding it... and I only realize there is a Banshee/Brute/Atlas behind me when they sync kill me. My team is nowhere close of course.
Earlier today I got grabbed by an Atlas when I ran past it to the LZ for extraction. Why? Because someone else triggered its melee right before I came around the corner. Yay.
My bad luck is especially strong on Goddess. In one match against Cerberus I played maybe 3 waves. The other 8 I was dead, killed by Phantoms or executed immediately after going down. Ran up the stairs to get out of the blast radius of a grenade, right into a Phantom's katana. Next wave, 20 sec in... four Phantoms swarm me. The lag certaintly didn't help. The fun part was... after all those encounters I played ultra careful, didn't take any chances... and was the only survivor to extract in the end. ^^

One grab often equals the end of the game.

Just had a Hydra Cerberus game where I think I got stabbed 4 times.

Hydra/Reaper is at least tolerable if the team is not exposed to Ravager and kills ravager fast.
Cerberus, not so much, because a wrong turret placement can mean sudden death for many PuG players.
Worst part is PuG players setting Hydra/Unknown setting.
..then they get Collector/Geth and get massacred... regardless of objective mission going or not.
Why do they like Hydra? I don`t know.
Hydra is bright and cozy.. so they think it`s an easy map.
Hydra is tough map for underwhelming PuG team, but it`s fairly OK map for a good player to carry & solo. So.. they probably have wrong impression that it`s an easy map with high success rate without knowing that they are giving themselves hard time.

Could you explain why Hydra is hard? I get that having an objective down in the pit is an issue, but you can get the same issue with Ghost. It always seems that they spawn in the back corner and then walk into a crossfire, which should make the map easier.

One laser from Praetorian & Few pulse shots from prime can wipe out entire team during MANY objectives in Hydra.
Cluster grenade are open to land anywhere on Hydra while rocket trooper have fun shooting at you everywhere.
Wrong spawn control and cerberus can turn the entire map to death zone quckly.
It`s fairly easy against Reaper.
It may not be a hard map to fight, but many players don`t know how to handle tough objectives and enemies on Hydra.
If you think Hydra is easy, play more Hydra/Collector/Gold or Hydra/Geth Platinum with PuG.
You will have super fun time there.

something i may or may not know something about...
Oh yeah that is a "funny way". My case was that I was dropped down in the corridor on Dagger, a Banshee went through me chasing a teammate. I waited till the Banshee jumped away and used MediGel, just to realize that during I got up the teammate came back (maybe he wanted to revive me) and the Banshee JUST jumped back exactly on me and then bang, synced. As it happend during the recovery time after medigeling I could not do anything, even spamming the OpsPack button did not helped. I was not happy at all, and it is an understatement.
