And Cabal isn't bad people just keep using it as a Vanguard, which it's really not, should be played more as a soldier with great mobility. People need not go more than 4 ranks into PS, how can you not like teleporting 16 meters through a wall, or up a lvl, even if you don't cause any damage?

Cabal
is just rubbish, she can't get her barrier back by charging and her
charge only goes a few meters, which gets her in more trouble than its
worth using. I have 2 more extractions using her and then I'll never use
her again.
Go PS-less.
Full Defensive Fitness, full weapon pasives.
Use vulnerability VI V, targeting VI III's
Equip Harrier, aim for the head, win
Use Nightshade Blades to stagger enemies, keep Biotic Focus up.
^an appropriate build for a scrub, but I doubt they could intentionally get headshots being so scrubby^ (so good advice for that guy, but IMO a poor choice overall; PS is sooo good with just 3 or 4 ranks)
Hmm, I think you underestimate the insane stack of headshot modifiers and sheer damage that this build provides, along with great movement speed and survivability. The Nightshade Blades are just the icing on the cake, an excellent Soldier build.
Its on my list of tryhard builds, only really use her when I do not trust a PUG.

Yeah, thing with that is I don't like to be reliant on the Reeger. It's why I don't like many Kroguard builds, which revolve around charge, Reeger/ Claymore all things. It's undoubtedly a very powerful combo, but I really prefer mobility kits, like the Slayer, Asari, Drell, vanilla Human even if they are squishy, as I tend to only go 3 into fitness. Unless it's the Drell.
And Cabal isn't bad people just keep using it as a Vanguard, which it's really not, should be played more as a soldier with great mobility.
A better soldier than the Turian Havoc.

It centers around the Carrier, but this guy says she sucks. I am stating a method of being effective with her without using the power he objects to, poison strike.
And yes, it is a very boring build. Boring, but effective if you use the Carrier's bugged recoil to chain headshots.

Fools who trash the Cabal because they don't know how to Poison Strike should be eaten. It's pretty simple.

I don't think you entirely understood my comment. Utilizing all of those headshot modifiers is great! I do that lots on my turian Soldier. Most unskilled players find trying to headshot too problematic/difficult, hence why it would not be good for n00bs.
But yeah, PS is great, i'd rather lose some health/shields and be able to detonate stuff, stun/damage multiple enemies, and escape through walls/maps easily.
I wreck **** on gold using either an executioner pistol or hurricane with incendiary ammo and her as a 4/6/6/4/6 build (might do a 3/6/6/6/5 build sometime though); fire explosions/poison damage kills everywhere.
You don't tank with her, you hit-and-run. She's for smackin' a ho and bouncin; not clubbing with the bumpin/grindin. She's a great character/vanguard, and with an effective tank (krogan/jugg) she can really compliment them.
But yeah...."cabal is bad" = L2P

Yeah, I dunno. I was able to tolerate the adept because singularity is amazing, but the vanguard...blech. I just felt like I had drell shields & geth health, even with max fitness. And I've seen some played fantastically, so I know that I was just doing it wrong.
Dunno. Maybe i'll retry sometime. Any advice for builds?

EDIT: The Pheonix doesn't suck either! haven't played him in recent memory but he used to be powerful. I considered making him into my Ex-Cerberus weapons platform but went with the adept instead for singularity. building characters by lore is fun, especially Ex-Cerberus, you get the Harrier and Talon

Indeed. I have yet to master her Poison Strike as well, but she is still on my list of kits to figure out. Still working on a non-PPR build for the Saboteur (Gonna try Titus's "Bomber" build with Krysae or Venom) Just figured out the Marksman using the Valkyrie and the BPP for bosses, so the Cabal using PS is on the list.

I still have to figure her out. Thinking perhaps skip a bit on the passives, 4 points in PS and use a Piranha... or should I skip a couple on Nightshade since I use them less for damage and more for stagger?
Look for The Killer Angel's Pheonix Vanguard guide, it made me look at him a bit differently. He does not suck, but I can easily see him outdone by the Drellguard, Asariguard, and Slayer especially.Grammaton Dryad wrote...

The Adept... I have found that using a Harrier with AR ULM and AP ammo works out rather well, play him at range. Its not exaggerating the Harriers strengths per se, its not quite ridiculous on him, bit it is the Carrier.
Wraith works on him as well, Talon notsomuch because I like to keep him at range.

Poison Strike: Range
Nightshade blades: Damage, Range, Explosive Blades
Focus: Damage taken, Duration, Heightened focus
Passives: Damage and capacity, power damage, Damage and stability
Fitness: 4
I tried it with the Harrier, on Platinum, a bit meh. I didn't get the full use out of the NSB, BF and mobility I found the Harrier a bit lack luster given most of her abilities are close range hit and run style. I'm going to give it a try with a Wraith or Talon and Acolyte.

First off, i don't know wich difficult you play on. Personally i still haven't the guts to try a vanguard on platinum, i don't think i'm that skilled and the manifest sure doesn't help. I still run this on gold and this character, with almost build you choose, is a real killer.
Here is my build, simple build with the acolyte (I don't use this attachments because i don't have them yet, but i think it would be the most apropriated) . Just charge up the acolyte shot, aim at the enemy and biotic charge ... The acolyte's shot will be released as you aproach the enemy with the charge.
I also found this gameplay on youtube wich i enjoyed a lot, but don't have the manifest to run this one. Hopefully you have.

FWIW I use 4/4/6/6/6 with a Pirahna (EB, Choke, AP Ammo) and find it works really well. Megabeast might call my style boring though, lol.
Mostly I use PS for mobility and detonation, BF for tanking, and two taps of NSB on Phantoms or crowds of infantry (enough to kill them or leave them paralyzed for easy mop up). I'm not specced into melee at all (other than BF 5B because duration is pointless for my build), but I do occasionally use it anyway to stagger enemies (Nemeses!) or to reload cancel when BF is on cooldown.
I might try a melee spec sometime though...

Wrong. If anything, if you aren't using Geth Scanner on arguable the most mobile character in the game you are doing it wrong. Or something.
