Very good analogy, I think.Fast Jimmy wrote...
Let me put it this way - if you go into a party that is packed with people and you see a dozen people you know all talking at once, will you go to the ones that you did not enjoy talking to the last couple times you met, or the ones you know the best and enjoy consistently? Obvious answer. Now, what if you had run into one of those people you had a lower opinion of before the party and found out they had really changed and had lots of interesting thigns going on? Well, then you might be more likely to fight through the crowd to go up and see what they are up to for the party.
Call me paranoid (and yes, I am aware this sounds sensationalist), but I'm still worried the reveal isn't put this late by BioWare's will alone. We've yet to have any platform reveals for any nexgent EA titles, with very little information going on pretty much any of them. I'm guessing there's a deal with Microsoft that EA should first come out and talk about their games on MS events, or perhaps even have their games as timed exclusives for the Xbox 720 and PC.
EA in general may believe they'll benefit from this deal - and be right, too. But I'm not sure Dragon Age 3 is one of those games that would benefit from such. Instead the game could end up taking one for the team. I'd hate to see that happen since I want DA3 to be very successful and well-loved.
