My biggest fears for ME4:

- too many rainbows

- a protagonist that is like or tries to live up to Commander Shepard

- an antagonist that is like or tries to live up to the Reapers

- a plot that is like or tries to live up to the Shepard Trilogy (Galactic War)

- appearances by Shepard Trilogy characters

- a linear corridor shooter lacking exploration and land vehicles.

My fears are a synthesis canon. Not looking forward to looking at everyone with some greenish tint.
Prequel. I don't care about the first contact war.
Now that this was mentioned. Kirkwall like location where I'm stuck there.
Liara in it as some canon ninjamancing LI that I can't get rid of.

Haha...it's not like that.

I'm passionate about ME because I like/love the franchise...but I don't think someone should ever truly worry about the next game not meeting your expectations...and you should never harbor any fears about that possibility..

A question for people....

Control and destroy endings can be brushed over in time......the future simply see's events of the past as history.

Synthesis however changes what organic and synthetic's represents by combining them.......now this will have an impact on any Mass future????........the same goes for the refuse ending??

No one knows how Bioware will address the next game....but seriously.....how can they,with out some reference to endings like Synthesis and Refuse?

it's a prequel.

it's dumbed down even more for the pewpew-headshot crowd.

it's as bad as DA2.

it's a full-on FPS/TPS with no RPG elements (like GoW or CoD..even if I liked GoW)

They don't have a story planned out for the ENTIRE series (assuming it's a trilogy or at least has a sequel) so that it ends up being nonsense like ME3's org-vs-synth bs.

^This exactly!  Actually if there is a way we could decide the ending that would be great... But if not please don't let it be the  green one.

My fear is that bioware will attempt to listen too much to their fanbase and thus, create a game that tries to be too many things at once and tries to please too many people, and thus pleases no one.

This fanbase imagination is limited, it's taste are narrow, and it's ego is large, not a good combination to have lots of control over a story.

My fear: they will start another trilogy/series, prequel or sequel, that will postpone the absolutely necessary reboot. And then they will fill it with dozens of DLCs, microtransactions, special editions, bonus items and every other crap that wasn't necessary in ME1.

Not mo' awesome alien characters.

More human characters.

Same "loltwentyenemytypesintotal" strategy as in ME3.

No more female Turians. (I really liked them!)

Characters not being on par with a Garrus or a Samara or a Legion (that's actually a pretty bad fear, because nothing can live up to Legion's fascination.)
