I started with the premise that the UR drop rate was 17.5%. With that understanding, the odds of getting no more than 7 URs in 78 PSPs is pretty damn low (less than 3%, I believe); low enough to make me question the drop rate.

But if the drop rate is really closer to 10%, then, as I said later in the thread, my experience is pretty pedestrian.

I've been buying SP, I've had abysmal luck with PSPs, AP and RP. The comparative rate of return vs cost ratio seems to diminish once you have a maxed manifest apart from the UR.

SPs you can buy more of them, double the amount actually, 2 and change for every Platinum run. I've had higher drop rates so far from them, in the last 1.5 million credits with a BPP II, 2 CSMGs III and IV respectively and a Wraith VIII. PSPs I just get a ton of lvl IV consumables. :/

I'm unsure what the drop rate of SPs is, but PSPs it seems to be about 10% according to the numbers, but that's sketchy at best. Hence, unless the SPs grant a significantly lower UR drop rate the higher rate of SP purchase would indicate that the comparative drop rate is higher, through the sheer number of packs that can be bought for the same amount of credits making a drop more likely.

Random is random. The worst I've had is 28 AP with no UR. Sunday I bought 14 AP got 5 UR (4 in consecutive packs). Tonight I bought 5 AP got 2 UR in consecutive packs again.

I don't know if it helps... if I didn't get an UR in my pack I would exit the store before I purchased my next pack. Keep doing this until you get an UR then buy 3-5 packs without exiting the store. Doing ths would usually yield 2 or 3 more URs after the 1st.

My results averaged 1 UR every 3 psps. If it works for you be prepared to have jealous friends.

It's RNG so it is working as intended. Just not working as most of us would like.

My friend was also getting nothing. Record was 47 consecutive PSP without an UR. Then i suggested he do what i do: buy reserve packs. Bingo. First week he got 4 UR-s and he didnt even play every day. Last week i got 13 UR-s from RP-s and i played every day.

Lesson: buy only RP-s.

So I've said this in another thread but I've been buying like 10-13 recruit packs and then a PSP or reserves pack. I usually get an ultra rare between the second or third PSP. I have my rares maxed and am just buying recruit packs to get the n7 challenge done.

it does not matter which pack you buy, you have a almost 5% chance that a rare card (gold) becomes a UR card. No matter, if you buy SP, PSP, RP or AP.

Also it can easy happen you buy 20 PSP and you get no UR or you buy one PSP and get 2 UR.

That gives me a drop rate of .089, or about half of the expected .175 rate that has been observed.

I typically buy 1-2 at a time. Is that what I'm doing wrong? Have I just been unlucky?

Mine has been at about 1 UR per 5 PSPs (4 URs in the last 6 packs). So between the two of us, we're close to the "intended" drop rate. Cool story, eh?

edit: Update for tonight = 3 PSPs for 2 URs

In yesterday's bulk purchase, Where I split 3 million between PSPs, Arsenals and Reserves, I didn't get the first UR in that batch until the final PSP which was a Valkyrie VII. Got four more in the last half which was 9 Arsenal packs and 6 Reserve packs. I'm pondering whether or not to go to another 3 million or grind it out to 6 million and double my chances on each side.

Why do people even bother with PSP-s. I can tell you that when i started beying only RP-s at the beginning of february i had only about 55 UR-s (max was 120 back then). Over nearly a 3 month period i have gotten 122 UR-s wich is twice as much than previous 10 months combined and 3 times faster drop rate than buying PSP-s.

IMHO buying PSP-s = Wasting credits. Sorry if this sounds harsh but there it is.

You know what the funny part is, the two times I have had a double UR pack was from a PSP.

Ive gotten a double-UR RP too. So you keep buying PSP-s in the vain hope of getting a double UR PSP?

By the time you "wait" for it you could have long since aquired more UR-s from RP-s.
