Yeah, it did, big time. A true expansion, not the over priced DLC we got in ME3. The citadel is a close expansion but it only has 1 mission. The series needed an expansion. I would have loved to seen things from a different perspective. Maybe even cerberus. Maybe, and I know I'll get a lot of flak for this, but a Kai Lame adventure. No joke. I know his character was completly broken in ME3. But if done right a Kai Leng expanison would have been cool. Or even maybe a Garrus adventure expansion or somehting like that. It's utterly amazing that a universe as rich as ME never got one. GTA 4 had two great expansions. Skyrim had a good one, so did fallout. It seems like a missed opportunity.

What's your thoughts? What expansions would you have liked to seen in the series?

My game is already clocking in at 60 hours.

How much content is enough?

no way. I played the game on insanity. Did every 'side quest', all the DLC and my game is 42 hours. 60 hours? What? I won't even get into the length of ME3 compared to ME2. My ME2 insanity run was 55 hours. Nuff said.

40 hours is still substantial. I'm sensing an implication here that BioWare is lazy for not making the game longer for you.

I voted for a Diana Allers adventure. you know you want one.

Seeing as the ending is so important to many, if they make another expansion or DLC, people would complain about how they should have remade the ending instead. At this point, I think Bioware is cutting their losses and move on with Not Mass Effect 4.

No. Bioware is lazy. Cause their lazy. If you're not gonna contribute to the thread, then what's your point?

As I just said, how much content is enough? How much content does a developer have to give you for 60 bucks to not be 'lazy'?

Diana Allers is the hero the series deserves, but not the one it needs right now. :wizard::wizard::wizard:

My completionist save with all the DLC and on Hardcore difficulty is at 60 hours....Admittedly, at least 5 hours are from gambling and fighting in the arena.

Ha, this thread was stupid. Everyone's talking about the length of the game(included me). Mods lock away please.

Kind of the same thing with squadmate dialogue. The Mass Effect series has more companion dialogue than game in history, I would wager. Yet we've still got plenty of people shrieking that there wasn't near enough for literally every character.

I wouldn't mind an expansion.

However, I have no interest in playing other characters. ME1-3 is Shepard's story.

A ME3 alternate universe expansion where Shepard stayed with Cerberus would be epic. Just for fun, non canon, of course.

Eh, if the game had actually ended logically, then an expansion focusing on the post-war galaxy could have been interesting. Placing the events of the Citadel DLC after the main narrative would have also probably made more sense.

How much more do you need? Between the three games, the spin-offs and the piles of DLC, isn't there enough Mass Effect stuff to do us?

How about an expansion that makes a sequel or a good Refuse possible. Anything else would be pointless

Definitely an expansion. 20 hrs worth that makes a non-crucible victory possible.

You and I should brainstorm on that.

I'll be completely honest, I don't get how people have playthroughs as slow (I consider) as 60 hours, even on Insanity. Unless you're not playing at level 60, there's no reason for that. ME3 in particular isn't even that difficult on Insanity. My Insanity playtime comes out to 29 hours (minus Citadel DLC, but that won't take me 31 hours to complete), and that's with every playable side mission (and the majority of fetch quests).

But it could just be that shooters make up a vast majority of my games played, and I have a bi of an elitist streak when it comes to them.

I wouldn't mind an expansion. Have it include all ME2 squadmates if possible. I'm not sure what I would want just not have Kai Leng in it.

As someone mentioned above, maybe a victory without the giant microphone.

I tend to walk through levels, depending on the situation, stare at the scenary, try to achieve all possible dialogues, go out of my way to try to seek every little bit of information that I can.  You'll be surprised how often you can hit 40-60 hours in ME2 and 3.

ME1, at best takes me about 25-35 hours.

Oh, also reading all the codex and little things like that, leveling up, respecing, etc - can take up some minor time as well.

Just to be on topic, I would fully support an expansion.

If at all possible (like themikefest said), including the ME2 characters would be nice. Relegating them to 5-minute (if that) cameos in the core game only only 2 or 3 cutscenes in the Citadel DLC doesn't quite justify our spending all of the second game with them, relative to the amount of time we spend with the ME1 cast in 3.
