I'm surprised people are buying the DDE or even the regular digital version from the EA Store, considering their distribution methods. Any reason why you guys wouldn't just use steam?

The EA store is cheaper than Steam. Also I had preordered before the steam option was announced. Also EA store distribute exactly the same as steam does, with pre-load and everything.

The EA Store has a 2 year limit on being able to download the game.  You then either lose access to it or have to pay a fee to be able to keep having access.  Of course you can back up the install to some other form of save option, but it's a lot of hassle.

As for the price, it looks like it's the same price, unless there was a sale recently.

It's cheaper for me. as steam charges in euros and Ea store doesn't. exchange rate and all that. And hopefully I'll be playing me3 in 2 years so I don't really mind.

GameStop CE, GameCrazy RE and Amazon CE OSG for both preorder bonuses. And of course both copies are for the 360.....haven't been shot in the head nearly enough times to think getting the PC version is a good idea.

Preordered from amazon with release date delivery the standard 360 version

the only thing that makes the wait bearable is rechecking my verification email in my box and knowing it'll drop in my hands in nine days

You could just get a NA friend to gift you a DDE from Steam, no?  Then you could send the friend a paypal payment for the price.

Buying from local Gamestop day one. Got to trade in some games for credit so why not. Also Army of Two The 40th Day is shorter than a midget (gameplay length wise) when compared to Mass Effect 2 I bet.

Amazon, release day delivery. I have a two year old that I am not willing to tote around town just to peek into multiple stores hoping for a copy. Thank god for Amazon and their release day shipping. They made one mom's day significantly easier! (Same reason why I order postage stamps online rather than wait in line at a post office to get them.)
