Who the heck is responsible for the width? Sheff? Your sig?

That has to be one of the funniest pet deaths I've read, although it sucks to lose your fish.

I hope Bioware puts up a memorial for it on a cemetary in the expansion or sequel:

"Finston Churchill II: First fish to die from gaming" :P

I actually see him alive in an aquarium there ... you know.. death is not the end... it's just a transition... from Earth to Tedas... ;)

I am so sorry about your fish. That's why we have a cover on our tank, that and our four cats that would surely go fishing. *smirks*

Not me. Some joker laughing his head off.
Anyway, let's put that page behind us now...

That sucks, but you can take solace with the fact that it was a good video game's box that killed him.

IMHO a fish in Awakening should be named after him ^^

I'm sorry for your loss.

But it's obvious Finston should have been equipped in better tanking gear.

Am I the only person who read the thread title and immediately thought that the pet might have died because the owner forgot to feed it for a few weeks?

Or maybe I'm just a morbid person.

But seriously, that's a really weird way to go. I wonder if Awakening will have a disclaimer in the EULA involving the proximity of DAO game boxes to fishtanks...

That's a bad omen, DAO killing a real live pet.

My condolences to your loss... I'm looking forward to the disclaimer on the box of Awakening.

Besides, I suddenly have an idea who might come back to life in Lake Calenhad...after all, that lake is supposed to be contaminated with all kinds of funny lyrium. Finston will probably resurrect and lead a happy giant fish life. :D

Dunno I think Bioware should sponsor you a new Fish... Finston the 2nd =)

At first I also thought you forgot to feed your pet and was actually about to throw some really bad words at you, but it was an accident.

My fish are having a moment of silence.

How are his wife and kids handling it.

i would be worried if your fish were having a moment of loudness. ^_^

Finston was actually my only fish, and had a 75 gallon tank to himself.   He was very aggressive and rather large for his breed, and tended to kill off any 'friends'  I bought for him. Everyone tod me i should just replace him with 'proper' fish but I have to admit i liked his attitude. B)  I'm now kind of on the fence as to whether ot not I should get replacement fish, or just sell the tank.  I miht have to move soon anwas, and the tank woud be a real bother to transport.

So seeing that he was called Finston Churchill the Second, one assumes there was a first, did he also die under such odd circumstances?

So last night one of my friends was over ad decided to play some DOA3 on my Xbox while I was out picking up beer.  He ejected Dragn Age, put it nicely in the case and put it on top of my theatre system.

Just now I was typing away on the forums and decided to go turn on the news.  As I stood in front of the TV something caught my eye...a large white object in my fishtank.  Closer inspection revealed this to be the Dragon Age box, still containing the disc.  It must have slid off of the theatre system some time during the night.

I quickly um....fished...it out and much to my dismay discovered that it had apparently landed squarley on Finston Churchill the Second, my Pterophyllum scalare, pinning him to the tank bottom where he unfortunately perished.

As I gave poor Finston a porcelain burial I considered what a strange and unlikely death he suffered.  I can only imagine him pinned at night, silenty screaming "A plague on both your houses* to both me and Dragon Age.

RIP Finston Churchill the Second

Morrigan approves +10. (that **** would.)

Sorry about your fish, though. I understand your pain. My ex boyfriend dumped beer into my tank one night, and my beta strangely survived it. It was when he knocked my eyeshadow into the tank that ended Marvin's life. That stopped me from using shadow ever again.

Sigh. My next playthrough, I'll named Dog after Finston.:(

A demondragon/angelfish?   I don't know how I would react first, pooping myselff in fear, or laughing so hard I pooped myself.
